The skewers were good and flavorful, pricing reasonable. The issue is that the restrooms are not cleaned and the faucet in the men’s restroom is broken. It makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. Service was ok they often walk by without looking even as we’re trying to get their attention. Hopefully they improve in those areas.

Tasty, but the skewers on the light side. As in less seasoning and they came out warm. There is a heat tray thing the staff lit, but that didn’t keep the skewers hot. Cold noodles were really good. Crispy bread could use some salt. It was bland. Fried rice was mid. Overall food was not bad. We came a little earlier than 5 PM and they let us in and we got seated. We ordered and food came at 5. Plenty of parking on this side still.

The owner of this wonderful restaurant is from Yunnan, China — the beautiful “homeland of clouds.” You can truly taste the spirit of Yunnan in every dish. The ingredients are fresh, the cooking is traditional, and the flavors are absolutely authentic.
We ordered the Yunnan Breaded Tofu, Special Beef Skewers, Special Lamb Skewers, and Egg Fried Rice. The tofu came first, and before the plate even hit the table, the aroma was already dancing around us. The golden crispy crust,, looked irresistible. One bite and we were hooked — perfectly crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside. It awakened our appetite in the best way!
Then came the beef and lamb skewers, and they were simply outstanding. The owner shared that they hand-select fresh meat every morning, marinate it for at least five hours, and only then start grilling. The chef’s control of the grill is masterful — smoky, lightly charred edges with juicy, tender meat inside. Rich but not greasy, every bite left us wanting more.
We ended our meal by sharing a warm and fluffy egg fried rice — the perfect way to wrap up a delicious journey.
A perfect experience. All this for under $40 for two people. Perfection!

I came in while the store has only a few customers. The boss appeared very casually and friendly introduced us the special dish. Even though he can speak much English but he explained all the food very passionate. He gave us some free puer tea, which tasted sooo good The chicken skin skewer here is very special, crunchy outside and still chewy inside. I’ll definitely come back.

My family and I ate here for the first time after passing by and it was SUCH an awesome spot. The owner is extremely hospitable and staff is super friendly. Food was incredible. We all loved their skewers and side dishes. Everything was so good and affordable. Definitely going to be regulars here!!

Such a lovely place—- FIRst time it’s 11:33 pm I’m starving , got a very bad spider bite I haven’t ate anything in 2 days nothing has sounded good & LAO YaN bbq is open ! Wohoooo I needed a soup since my jaw hurts from my spider bite ☹️
