Stopped by 李老三 in Arcadia for some authentic Xi’an snacks — and it did not disappoint!
The liangpi was chewy and flavorful, with just the right balance of spice and vinegar. The mutton soup was hearty and comforting, especially with the bread soaking up all that rich broth. Tomato & egg noodles tasted super homey, while the tripe was tender with a nice kick. Soy milk rounded it all out and kept things refreshing. Definitely my go-to when craving Northwest Chinese comfort food!

Stopped in here close to closing to order food to go. Everyone was very nice to us even though they were definitely getting ready to close. We ordered the cumin lamb burger and spicy cumin lamb noodles. I always worry at a new place when I ask for the food to be spicy, they will dial back because I’m white. I was so happy they didn’t. Food was spicy, but very flavorful and delicious! I’ll definitely be going back soon!

Update: unfortunately, I have to update my review and downgrade this to hit or miss. Went back tonight (2/22/2026) and again ordered the stir fry cumin lamb noodles with a request for spicy. Tonight’s order had no spice at all and very little flavor. Very disappointed after a really good first meal there.

We stopped by from out of town to try their food. We come from Houston so we are familiar with authentic and good Chinese food. They did run out of what we initially wanted to order but the food we got was still yummy. Portions are generous. Staff friendly even though we spoke limited Chinese

Solid spot for Xi’an cuisine with fresh lamb and an open kitchen vibe.
I recently checked out Xi’an Foodie and left satisfied overall. This place does a lot of things right—from the fresh ingredients to the clean, modern setup. While I enjoyed most of what I tried, I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars mainly because the lamb kebabs didn’t quite hit the mark in terms of charcoal flavor, which is a big part of what makes Xi’an street food pop.

Ambiance: 4.5/5
The restaurant is clean, nicely lit, and has a welcoming atmosphere. One standout feature is the see-through glass kitchen, which offers a cool peek into the food prep process—something I always appreciate in places that serve regional dishes. It adds transparency (literally) and builds trust in food quality.

Authenticity: 4/5
You can tell they’re aiming to stick close to traditional Xi’an flavors, especially with their use of lamb and classic spices. That said, the lamb kebabs lacked the distinct charcoal-grilled aroma you’d expect from a proper street-style skewer. It seems like they may be using a conventional oven instead, which loses some of the authenticity.

Flavor: 4/5
The lamb itself was fresh and tender, and their seasoning blend hit all the right savory and spicy notes. Most dishes came out hot and flavorful. If they can improve the grilling method to capture that smokiness, the flavor score would easily go up.

Cost: 4/5
The pricing is fair for the quality and portion size. You’re getting good value, especially with lamb dishes—which can often be hit or miss elsewhere. Everything felt fairly portioned for what we paid.

Service: 4.5/5
Staff were courteous and helpful, food came out in a timely manner, and the kitchen looked well-run. No issues here—just good, solid service all around.

Final Verdict: 4/5
Xi’an Foodie is definitely worth a visit if you’re craving authentic Northwestern Chinese cuisine. They’ve nailed most elements, especially their fresh ingredients and kitchen transparency. I’ll be back—but hoping next time the kebabs come with a bit more of that classic charcoal char.

Update: Came back recently and was very disappointed. The cold sheets was tasteless and the large pot chicken that had chicken meat that went bad. And the beef soup was pretty bad. Not sure what had happened since our last visit, but we won’t be coming back again.

Found this small eatery in a multi-use building with free indoor parking. The food, as its English name implies, is in Xi’An style. We tried its popular dishes such as cold sheet (凉皮) with numbing and spicy sesame sauce. This was one of its best dishes, authentic and flavorful. The lamb soup was decent, though not great. The lamb bun was decent as well with fresh bell pepper. The three item mixed noodle was decent as well. The service was excellent and the place was very clean. The prices were reasonable.

A lovely place in Arcadia for Xi’an food and it’s relatively new. Parking is in the back and the entrance is on the right before the restaurant. I don’t know much about the authenticity of Xi’an food in China but the food here is very delicious. The vibe is also cozy and local.

The noodles in their You Po noodles are made in house and you could see it through the kitchen window. They can do mild spice which was perfect for me. The dumplings in vinegar are really good. Rou jia mo is another signature that the server recommended to me. The meat inside was very juicy. I also really love their soybean milk just because it’s full of real soy flavor and it’s not sweet! The server told me they made the soy milk in house and it’s just like soy milk I remembered from Asian market.

Youpo Noodles with Special Beef Paste:
Like the noodle texture, great combination sauces with tomato egg. Good size, spicy enough but take a while to come (not sure because of slow service or freshly made noodle or busy kitchen)

Cold Spicy Noodle with Marinated Beef
Same noodle, love the sauce (food come out fast) but don’t like marinated beef (texture) on this noodle with this kind of sauce

Fast seating
Fast ordering
But they don’t serve spoon or chopstick or sharing plate. Not sure because only 2 servers handling the ordering, food serving, payment, etc
Or it is Self Serve, saw 2 other patrons get their own chopstick, plates by them self (server did not mention that)

if you have an appetite for halal food and Chinese noddles, I would say Xi’an Foodie is the best place in Arcadia, the marinated beef sandwich and cold spicy noodle are the most popular dishes and must try their lamb stew with flatbread, you will never regret eating it
