I cannot say enough about the food at Meiji. I have had traditional meals like their beef pad thai and have been amazed on their ability to accommodate my taste. I normally order my pad thai extra spicy without peanuts. Every time they exceeded my expectations!
I tend to be a regular as it comes to their sushi. I will typically drive a half an hour to enjoy. They have an incredible team of talented individuals performing works of art in their Sushi creations. I am always in awe just watching true artists at work. I have made it a point to share with my friends that this is one of the Best Sushi restaurants in the area.

Rhonna was an absolute delight!!! We strolled in and enjoyed wonderful fresh sushi, great drinks, and a warmth that she could only bring. Thank you so much!

I ordered veggie gyoza, egg rolls, lomein and egg drop soup to go. It was packaged nicely. Big portions. Food was hot, looked good. Lacked flavor. Nothing really had much flavor at all. I would give them another try and order something else with more spice.

We went strictly for the hibachi and weren’t disappointed. We made reservations and we were seated right away. Our server was really quick and friendly. They were very accommodating – letting us substitute the mushroom soup for miso. The presentation of the hibachi was fantastic and had us laughing and having a great time the entire time. Really so much fun!

The entrance and interior are a little tired looking and could use a refresh – we were actually a little nervous when we first arrived, judging by the decor that it wasn’t going to be good. Don’t let that fool you, because the hibachi was delicious and so much fun.

Easy parking in front – free parking lot.

I have eaten here numerous times. The food, both hibachi and sushi, have been very good every time. For the most part the service is good and relatively fast. The ambiance and decor is inviting and comfortable. Of course I’ll be back.

BE AWARE!! Was there for dinner late with my husband and 2 toddlers. Ordered 2 kids meal, a sushi platter and a hibachi dish. Total came up to $63. They had suggested tips on receipt starting with 18% which was about $17. We didn’t get the best service so we wrote $10 which is still actually a pretty good tip. The next day, I check my bank account balance and they charged me the full $17 tip. We weren’t even a big table so I don’t know why they charged us the full 18% gratuity. I know I clearly wrote the tip as readable as possible. I don’t get why they think gratuity should be based off of how much you spend. It shouldn’t mean we should tip more because of the amount spent. It should really be how well the service is!

Lighting is poor so hard to read menu. Lots of appetizer choices, we chose 3 which were quite tasty (Shrimp Shumai, Gyoza and Egg Rolls). Entrée choices were plenty. One, Yaki Udon, left a lot to be desired (not much meat or seafood and basically tastless) such that liberal amounts of soy sauce and sweet and sour sauce couldn’t save it! Sweet and Sour Chicken was good, with cubed chicken. Mongolian Beef was passable but nothing special (San Dong still the hands down winner for this dish). The meat was very dry but tasty and there was no gravy. Chicken Lo Mein was good, also nothing special. Read the menu and ask questions of the server if you’re not sure of entrée (many photos in menu to help). Didn’t have Sushi or Hibachi (need to go into another room). This restaurant warrants another try as servings were plentiful (cost not exorbitant) and we would like to try Hibachi offerings! One addendum; the restaurant, on a Saturday night wasn’t super busy, but our waitress was also serving in the Hibachi room, so it was hard to find her for refills and extra sauce etc.

My wife and I loved the food, enjoyed the service, and appreciated the staff overall.

What got us was the price-to-qualify ratio, which was very good, if not great. Additionally, there were so many options we liked that we are excited to return and try more, based on the fact that what we ordered was very good or excellent in terms of taste, freshness, and overall quality.

If you love this type of food, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

For $40 for two Cary out I’d expect chicken in the pad Thai, crab in the crab Rangoons neither where visible, the pad Thai had a distinct fish taste, the Rangoons were doughy and undercooked, if they weren’t across the street from the comfort suite I’m sure they wouldn’t be in business. This was by far the worst Asian food I’ve had in the last six months,

Correction 2 tiny piece of chicken under all the noodles and no egg…… yeah I’m extremely glad I don’t live here.

Definitely a good place for a date. Today I ordered sushi to go. It was good and as always, I appreciate the gluten free options.
