If I remembered correctly we had for Appetizers the Edamame, Fried Dumplings and Cold Dish Sliced Braised Beef and Tripe in Chili oil Sauce.
For the main course we had Spicy Short ribs in flaming pan, Three Pepper Lamb Stir fry in Szechuan style, Fish Fillet with vegetables in Hot Spicy Broth, Cellophane Bean Noodles with Ground Pork and the Mixed Vegetables with Beef which came with a side of Fried Egg rolls.
The main dishes all came with a side of rice.
For dessert we had these deep fried balls that had coconut flavor Sago in the middle, omg it was so good!
Overall everything we ordered was soooo good. I will say most of them were fairly spicy. I’m a huge spice lover so this was just perfect for me but I’ll say it was not as spicy like burn your mouth spicy but more like a flavorful spice where you can enjoy the food. We couldn’t finish and had to take a lot home because the portion sizes were all totally worth the price.
Thanks to our waitress for recommending the Fish Fillet dish to me, it was honestly one of my favorite dish there. I wish I remembered her name but she was very nice and accommodating. I hope more people get to experience this. I’ll definitely be back again.
We ordered a lot, for a party of 13. Spicy beef hot pot, sweet and sour fish filet, braised beef with vegetables were my favorites. We also had wonton with chili oil, Chinese bok Choy, fried dumplings, yuen chow fried rice, eggplant and tofu clay pot, seafood and tofu stew, spicy crispy chicken… all were good.
The chicken and fish tasted good. I asked for extra spicy, but it is still just medium level for me. The portion was good for price of $20.
The vegetable (family style tofu) was okay. I was not very impressive with the flavor, and apparently it used too much corn starch.
The server was friendly and helpful. Would be a choice for work lunch – they did offer lunch special as well.
I told the store manager that she needs to buy better Cutler so the customers can come back and enjoy another meal! She was very gracious and accepted my commitment!
This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte for years. The 川北凉粉 (mung bean noodles in sechuan pepper) is legitimately my favorite dish in the city.
I studied abroad in XiAn when I was young, and honestly nothing else in the city compares.
Definitely try any of the flaming pans (I love the fish fillet).
Great dine in or take out. Whenever I’ve sat at the bar and had a glass of wine, the staff has been so wonderful.
