This is a restaurant I love and visit from time to time.
The crab course I had with a friend the other day was delicious, and the carefully prepared food really warmed my heart.

The chef’s cooking and the warm hospitality of the landlady and her daughter have remained unchanged, and I always enjoy a relaxing time whenever I visit.

I have always admired the family’s continued hospitality despite the limited circumstances, even after last year’s fire.

I was a little hurt to read this review mentioning the debris from the fire and the blue tarp exterior.
I believe that Shunka herself is the one who has suffered the most from this incident.

It also appears that all of the guest rooms have not yet been restored, but even in these difficult times, the heartfelt service and beautiful kaiseki cuisine are as wonderful as ever, and it once again made me want to support them.

This is a special restaurant to me, and I will continue to support them.

This is what I expect from traditional and authentic Japanese cuisine. The presentation is very beautiful, and the food is richly flavored and aromatic. The attention to detail and dedication to preserving traditional flavors are truly commendable. Thank you for providing such a delightful and heartwarming experience.

I use Patio Daimon, and I’m very disappointed that the discarded blue tarps are ruining the view. They’ve been there since last year, and I was wondering when they’d finally get rid of them. I always visit the restaurant, looking forward to the patio illuminations and the garden view, but last year the blue tarps and traffic cones were so noticeable at Christmas and the end of the year that it was a real shame about the view.
Customers who use the patio and local residents are concerned that they might still be there during cherry blossom season. I hope that this can be addressed quickly so that everyone who uses Patio Daimon can enjoy their time here.

The restaurant is set in a historic building. Private rooms are available, as are Japanese-style rooms and table seating.
Every dish was absolutely delicious! I was excited from start to finish!
They also had a wide selection of sake, wine, and other alcoholic beverages, so I had no complaints whatsoever!
I’d definitely make a reservation and come back next time I’m in Nagano!

I went there for my birthday!
All the food was delicious. They’ve also started selling matsutake mushrooms early, so I was able to enjoy the autumn mood a little early.

Best of all, the alcohol prices were not too high, and in fact were quite reasonable.

I thought it would be a good idea to choose the cheapest course and focus on enjoying the alcohol!

I visited this restaurant for the first time with some coworkers.
The course meal and all-you-can-drink option cost a hefty ¥12,000, but the high-quality food and drinks were very satisfying.
It’s nice to visit a restaurant like this every once in a while.

I had the Negitoro Don Chazuke for the first time! The broth was exquisite and delicious even on its own. The mandarin orange jelly for dessert was incredibly sweet, with a high sugar content.

As always, the service is so pleasant, it makes for a great experience! I’d love to visit again! Thank you for another wonderful time today.

Located close to Zenkoji Temple, the restaurant has taken strict infection control measures into account.
Starting with sweetfish roe, the hot dishes are always nicely piping hot, and each dish is carefully prepared to be a feast for the eyes. The matsutake mushrooms from Obuse are grilled over charcoal, and the matsutake earthenware pot with conger eel melting pot is paired with Oma bluefin tuna for sashimi, so the ingredients are top notch!
The specialty dish of steamed salmon roe, sea urchin, and mountain yam had a sticky umami flavor that paired perfectly with the eel placed at the bottom of the bowl, making it absolutely delicious.
The meal was hearty yet well-balanced, and coupled with the lovely hospitality of the proprietress, I enjoyed it all the way to the very end.

Piepklein restaurant.
Beleving.

This time I tried the limited-time offer of takeout ohagi.
The red bean paste was shiny and sparkling and it was absolutely delicious.
I could eat as many as I wanted of these red bean paste ohagi✨I’d love to eat them again. Of course, the white sesame was delicious too.
