I would honestly give zero stars if I could. We had gone in as a party of four while visiting the area. I guess I looked like a mark because I was charged $11 for a canned drink (prices aren’t listed anywhere) while the people in my group were charged the same for an actual cocktail that was VERY generously free-poured and using a top shelf brand. Strike one. Strike two was being ignored for an extended period at the bar. Strike three was that I (AND ONLY ME) was charged a $5 entertainment fee for a band that I didn’t even know was going to be there. No one else in my party was charged this fee. I left a message for someone to call me about this or email me back and never heard anything. I can’t attest to the food, but someone in my party said it was soggy and gross. The clientele were locals and were having a good time. The people who come in as tourists probably don’t matter to them much, but we could’ve spent all night there spending money if we were treated properly. I had actually bought two drinks (didn’t know the cost until I saw my bill), saw the bogus entertainment fee and still tipped well. I wanted this rectified and no one cared to respond. I don’t recommend.

Great place to see live music! Can get loud but that’s the point of live music! Met very friendly people here.

What a fantastic spot! We stumbled upon The Rhumb Line and were so glad we did. The energy here is amazing, especially with the live band playing. The place has a great, authentic feel, and the low-key lighting and decor make for a super cool atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great live music and a genuine, fun bar experience.

The bar is intimate and cozy with an attentive bartender/server behind it. There weren’t any tables, that I could see, just the bar and some benches by the window. The White Apple Sangria was deliciously dangerous and the food was amazing! Definitely would go back!

If you are looking to see a band or are a band that was interested in playing this venue save your talent for somewhere that will appreciate you. I am absolutely disgusted with how the owner treated an up and coming band over the music being “too loud” the music was a reasonable decibel for rock music and had a very substantial crowd who were there specifically for them. The owner repeatedly asked the band to lower the volume so he could converse with his 3 friends on the other side of the bar the 20 plus people who were there to see the band all left. I hope you enjoy your quiet and non existent customers. Also the food made me sick I got a chicken quesadilla and salsa that had a weird texture to it.

If I go to Gloucester, you know I will wait there for you, The Rhumb line is waiting there too. Ra Ra Riot named their 2008 album after this place. I love it.

Food is standard & pretty good, but the atmosphere is great! Wednesday nights with live music have a great vibe – I wish I lived closer!
