We were at Twin Elephant Brewery across the street having some beers and we were looking for a place to order food from and decided on River Grille. The reason I’m giving 4 stars is because they said we could pick it up in 20 minutes and after arriving there at the 20 min mark, we asked the bartender if our food was ready and he said no and asked if we wanted a drink while we waited. Apparently the food showed up and was sitting in a bag off to the side while we were waiting and no one told us until 15 minutes after the fact so by the time we brought the food back, it was a bit cold. We didn’t get to have our drinks at the bar either. We understand they were busy, because it happens. We ate the food anyway. It was very good and had no other problems.

I used to love this place. Tonight we ordered takeout. Onion Soup was over-salted and in a cheap paper container, which shredded when I tried to open it. The Chicken Milanese sandwich and the onion rings were so oversalted I could not eat them and they were crammed together in a small aluminum pan with a plastic cover so they were soggy by the time I got home.

DO NOT waste your time and money going here! We are Chatham residents and thought we would give another local place a try. We will never be back. It was SO disappointing. My husband, daughter and I were treated so bad. Service is awful. The manager yelled at us multiple times. I think her name was Addie. When we addressed it she was extremely defensive and rude in front of our 11 year old daughter. She was mocking us as we were asking questions about the menu. Just disgusting. I will never give them business. We left and went to Charley’s Aunt and they are so amazing, helpful and kind! The food at Charley’s Aunt is so good as well as the atmosphere. We were hoping to support another local business but River Grille needs to be kinder and more customer focused! Very disappointing

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Everything is great & staff is always super friendly and attentive. Always a go to place especially when im inviting friends to the area! Live band is also a plus and very fun. Highly recommend!!!

Went to the River Grille with my wife for date night last night and had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic! The staff, Addie and Chris, were warm, welcoming and helpful which added to the experience. Great place, with great food for a family dinner or a night out. Kudos!

Was in the area looking for a bite to eat and found River Grille on google. Food is great. Best loaded potato skins I have ever had. Ruben sandwhich was great as well. Server was polite and professional. Will be back in the future.

River Grille was a great bar and late night dinner experience. They do have options above your standard bar food. The atmosphere was very lively on a Friday night. Just know it is a bar first so could possibly be loud. Wasn’t a problem for us at all, just noting for others in the review. Would definitely go back to try some other things on the menu. Our table tries a variety: veggie burger, french dip, steak quesadilla, scallops special, onion rings, it was all incredible. Oddly enough the only thing we didn’t like was the standard burger.. would like to go back one night for live music, seems like a great neighborhood bar.
