While in Fall Rivers my husband and I wanted to eat Grilled limpets ( Lapas ) and we came across this restaurant. We always ate at a different restaurant but they stop serving lapas . Anyways we are so happy we came across this restaurant. It was like eating at my mother in laws house in São Miguel. The food was amazing. The limpets the fresh cheese everything! I highly recommend!! It was but pricey for lunch but we drove far and wanted to makes sure we had our favorites. It definitely was worth the money to us!

Ordered take out from Ocean Star for the first time. Everything went smoothly. Started off with Calamari and it came with a sweet Chile sauce. Thought it was pretty good. Tried some cod fish cakes and they were okay. Went with the steak micalense with fries and rice and it was okay. Comes with an egg, peppers and garlic. Would have liked the garlic a little more cooked. The rice is pretty plain tasting. The wife had the shrimp Mozambique and she felt it was okay as well. Place has a good size parking lot and easy access.

The food was good. I liked the drink they made me and the bread was great. They had rissois as a special which I love. The little fried croquettes with fillings. I’ve been trying so hard to find a rissol de leitão somewhere so I was excited.

Very rude staff! Bait and switch all the way! Asked for no lemon on food, plate went back and came back loaded with garlic but the lemon flavor was still pungent. No plates for bread or for appetizers. Not once were we asked how the food was. And when we asked for plates for the appetizers and for silverware we were given the finger to wait.

Very comfy little sit down restaurant. Despite it’s size the food was phenomenal. Excellent Portuguese steak. Staff were friendly and considerate. Will definitely return to explore more on the menu.

great little neighborhood place serving authentic Portuguese food. had a tasty shredded cod with linguini while my friends had octopus. everyone was happy. we basically ate dinners at lunch, but there’s a much smaller lunch menu available.
