Great atmosphere, fantastic service, friendly and curious…
Why the review? Well.. I tried this place for the first time. Had great reviews so why not. We sat down, clean tables and ordered out food. As soon as the kitchen received our order all we heard was the sound of microwave beeping.
If we’re going out to to eat I honestly except to not eat reheated microwaved food.

I thought the tacos were great for the location! What I mean by that is that it was very close to tacos you would get near the southern border!! Excellent tacos for a great price. They weren’t busy but the tacos were authentic and really tasted good. I will definitely go back when I’m in the area again. Thank you La Fonda!!

First off, the atmosphere is very Tex Mex along with the food. I ordered 5 for $6 tacos, Mexican style. They came with cilantro, onions, lime, and I got shredded chicken. in traditional fashion they came with 2 corn tortillas per taco. The sauce you see is a slightly spicy vinegar based sauce with a lot of flavor. I suggest pouring on the taco right before each bite for full effect. overall everyone was very happy, the food wasn’t spicy unless you ask for it. And I was very impressed with the food.

The food was incredible! The hours are a bit unusual in a way that may harm the business (11-7 on four non-consecutive days), but the server was very pleasant and attentive and didn’t keep us waiting too long for anything we asked for. I would’ve loved an indicator on the menu (which looks a little dated, but that’s just an aesthetic issue) for the spiciness levels of different items, but the only thing that was too much for me was a sauce that was served on the side, so a quick test let me know to just leave it alone.
Despite my nitpicks, this would have been a perfect review if not the for the odd hours (opening a bit late, closing too early, only open for just over half the week); I will happily say, though, that this was the best-tasting meal I’ve had in town so far, they have plenty of inexpensive options, and I definitely plan on becoming a regular!

People need to get on board if they like a more authentic Mexican flavor. Best around as far as I’m concerned. So give it a try! And the house Margarita was just right!
