This place is in the heart of the quaint downtown of Petoskey. The food was good but the view was better. It was fairly shaded and cool when we went but the view was worth it. I had the meatball grinder with an Octorock hard apple cider. What’s nice about the meatball grinder is that they cut the meatballs down so that it’s not as difficult to eat. My wife had the turkey club grinder and chicken soup with a caramel apple martini. The martini was fantastic!

The view from the second floor patio was great. The server was very good. Food came pretty quickly. My guy loved the decor that was sort of car themed. I had an olive burger and fries. I get olive burgers just about every new place I try in Michigan. This one was just ok. The beer battered fries and the dipping sauce were really good. He had the big duffer burger and he said it was good.

Food was good but pricing is confusing. They don’t show you how much the “extras” are on your burgers. Example in the pictures. I got a bacon cheeseburger but it doesn’t break down why it went from $14 to $20. Same with my wife’s veggie burger. What caused it to jump from $17 to $21? $3 for blue cheese crumbles? I didn’t notice this until I got home. Just double check your bill before you leave. The food and service was good though.

As a visitor, the catchy name and good reviews brought me in. But the pizza is delicious and that’s what will bring me back. I had the Heap of Meat pizza. The tomato sauce on this pizza is absolutely incredible! Best pizza I have had in decades, maybe ever.

Duffy’s is SOLID. You can’t go wrong here. Definitely try to get seated upstairs if you can…quieter and more spacious. The food was great. We had the pizza and crust is great. Heard the grinders were really good too. The outside patio on second floor is premium. You can see the bay and have a nice breeze too. ENJOY!

I ordered the Gourmet Burger, The Big DufferDuffy, but unfortunately it was cooked beyond well done, cremated.
It was advertised as a GOURMET BURGER having sautéed mushrooms & onions, but severely lacking those.
Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon, ham, provolone and cheddar cheeses, I substituted the cheddar for American. $19.99
I also ordered a side of their homemade coleslaw, but I didn’t care for it, and neither did any at my table. So avoid it.
My friends ordered and shared a pizza, and they loved it.
So my suggestion is stick to the pizza.

The burgers are terrific and the historic automotive decor and theme is terrific. We loved walking around and admiring the antiques and spark plug chandeliers, license plates and front ends. The service was also great. No complaints except perhaps that all meals are approaching $20 so add a drink and you’ll be over $20 per head–but it is on the main drag overlooking the bay, so that rent must be paid.

The chowder was great. The house salad was ho-hum but fresh. The burger was average but decent.

$10.75 for six mozzarella sticks should be a crime. Pizza was alright. View from the porch is good, and overall it’s a decent meal. Decor and atmosphere was pretty neat.

Service and view are great, kids meals and burger were fine. This was the single tomato on my $19 salad. Huge pile of lettuce, round sliced onions obviously meant to go on burgers, nothing tossed together, no cheese for that price, and a single sad tomato.
