Got a burnt end burrito lot of dry cabbage no noticeable bite from vinegar or creaminess from a mayo base. Dry slightly Smokey burnt ends. Probably will work better in a chili. Pretty lackluster.

I’m usually very positive and graceful when I give reviews, infact I’ve given a few hundred that have been appreciated. My son ordered some food from here because I worked all day and I was completely disappointed by the quality, taste, presentation. It was a rib plate with barely any sauce overcooked, rice and beans salty, potato salad hard and not seasoned. My son was to embarrassed to ask for a refund because it was close to closing..which could of been another problem and the left over scraps. Please consider what we provide to others would we provide to love ones especially during this inflation. Thank you

We love getting the trio platter and a dozen rolls for dinner. Perfect serving size for dinner for 2, we usually get an extra 1/2 pint of pulled pork to enjoy for lunches the next day. The meats are tender and juicy, especially their pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. Their coleslaw and potato salad are chunky and flavorful. They protect your cornbread with some aluminum foil so it doesn’t get soggy before you’re ready.

The food was delicious but I have a major issue with getting styrofoam served food. In this day and age there should be more accountability on restaurants regarding the use of this type of serving material. There is no recycling either. Giving service and atmosphere a low rating because it should be environmentally friendly.

They have all of the choices you would expect at an authentic bbq joint. The interior is thoughtfully designed and decorated, giving it the feel of a long-open establishment that caters to the neighborhood locals. You order at the counter and they call your number when the order is ready. I had the Johnny’s Combo sandwich with a side of coleslaw and mashed potatoes. Sauce choices are great and have piquant flavor notes.

Everything was beyond excellent. The brisket, pork, chicken, all were amazing. The sauces are just as good, but honestly the meats are so unbelievable they don’t even need the sauces. That said, the kick the “hot” sauce has is addictive, and the vinegar-based North Carolina sauce is also great. Mix them together for a blend of flavors…just can’t go wrong. They also cater.
