Compact, unpretentious locale for sashimi, specialty sushi rolls & Japanese kitchen entrees.

Came back after a year to have lunch with a friend in town. I have been craving their super crunch roll for too long. It was a beautiful day so we picked to sit outside. Our server James was really nice and so attentive. They have a really good lunch menu with solid options and the pricing was great. I had a hard time choosing but I ended up with miso soup and a couple rolls. They did not disappoint and I still stand by that Shiki makes the freshest and best sushi rolls. That Korean pear with the shrimp is the ultimate combo. I definitely want to come back for their bento box or teriyaki plates!

The owner, James Park is called the Sushi Maestro for a reason. The best apps hands down are the shumai & gyoza (hand made daily). A few of my other fav items include: A5 wagyu hand roll, crispy tuna & super crunch. My boyfriend and I go for date night whenever we get the chance and always bring our friends.
Every item on the menu is fresh and sauces are homemade! Perfect cozy atmosphere, best vibes to bring a group too. Service is always above and beyond. We love our Shiki fam

Great restaurant. Was in town for a wedding and two of us popped in without a reservation for a Saturday lunch. Seated right away. Service was quick and our waiter very knowledgeable. Food was top notch amazing! Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

We had an excellent meal consisting of beef Pho and a Steak Hibachi dinner. The food was delicious and hot upon arrival. The happy hour drinks were amazing. Our waitress Susan was phenomenal. She had a very infectious personality that made for a very pleasant evening out. She was attentive without being overbearing. She did an outstanding job. Great experience. We will be back!

I’ve heard many people say this is the best sushi in Charleston, so I was thrilled to finally get a reservation and see what it was all about. The atmosphere was lovely, and I enjoyed how intimate and welcoming the restaurant felt. We started with the Crispy Tuna Oshizushi and it was incredible and full of flavor. (By far my favorite item we ordered). It was such a great start that we were even more excited for the three sushi rolls we ordered next. We chose the Spider Roll, Shiki SC, and the Spicy Yellowtail. The sushi was reasonably priced and had great presentation. However, in terms of flavor, the Shiki Roll stood out the most. While the others were decent, they were more subtle in taste than I had expected. Our server was quick and attentive. I’d recommend!

This is a sushi restaurant I highly recommend! It’s a must-try if you are visiting Charleston.
The fish is incredibly fresh, and while the presentation might not be as fancy as Oku, the flavor, freshness, and overall quality are excellent.
It is on the expensive side, but I definitely think it’s worth the price!

We came here for sushi and went with one of their selections, which was a great way to sample a variety without overthinking the order. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and really tasty.
It’s definitely cheaper to go for lunch, so that’s the best time to come if you want a deal. They usually require reservations, but it’s worth it.
The only thing I wish is that the selection offered more than just different variations of salmon. Still, the quality of the fish and the overall experience make this a solid spot for sushi.

Best sushi you can find in South Carolina, hands down. Honestly it is some of the best quality I’ve had in the US! Started off with some handmade gyoza. Skin is super thin, very good quality. Tempura was light and crisp, the murasaki sweet potato is my favorite.
Sashimi was cut perfectly and thick pieces. Toro just melts in your mouth, so fresh and delicious. The mackeral was not fishy at all, just great flavor.
The sushi was excellent. Especially the uni, such a rich and creamy taste and some of the freshest I’ve ever had. One of the specials was another type of mackeral that the server recommended was really tasty as well.
The sushi tastes as good as in Japan, and the chef has some of the best sushi making skills in the country! Our server was very attentive and told us about the restaurant history. After traveling to Japan, this is the best representative of the service and food you will experience anywhere in the area.

The sushi rolls, Galbi, Hamachi Kama, Sushi & Sashimi Omakase, and dessert were phenomenal. Everything is fresh. What a meal.
Service was attentive on a busy Friday night.
The place is nice. It was enjoyable to sit at the sushi bar. You get the best experience that way!
