At our Palatka, FL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Today has been a rough day for me. And I work nights at the mill 7 days 12 hour shifts. So for lunch I decided to have Captain Ds, went through the drive through and the young lady that took my order and gave me my food was amazing, very friendly, beautiful smile, just all the way around great energy. Made me feel a little better about the night I had to tackle ahead of me. So now I’m sitting at work and I pull out my chocolate cake that I ordered and instantly started crying… the “Have a blessed day❤️” on the bag was exactly what I needed. I don’t know if she’s the one that wrote it on the bag or not but that and her amazing attitude combined turned my hard night into a brighter one. And I’m also here from Alabama working so I have no clue about this area or the people. I just know now that captain D’s in Palatka Florida are some wonderful workers. Thank you to the young lady in the drive through, and also the entire store because the food is hot and fresh. So thank you again to the workers of captain D’s for making my experience one I’ll never forget.

We’ve been missing captain D’s since we moved to Texas, and today we had a great lunch at captain D’s in Palatka Good food, good company and good service. We were helped by Blakely, she’s very helpful and she gave the customers some good suggestions on the menu. Thank you Blakely!

The people who work here have the best attitude and are so friendly. They actually will have a conversation with you without an attitude.
The bathroom is spotless and the employees are always cleaning.
I have to say that the food has never disappointed us. It’s fresh and fast and the orders have never been served wrong.
I recommend this place and we visit every Sunday when in town.

Love some Captain D’s! We drove from Palm Coast (since we don’t have one there) and side story my Mom who passed away in 2017 loved Captain D’s too and this makes me feel close to her (sorry for the sap) This was the cleanest, well ran one we have ever been to. The staff was friendly, the food was hot and delicious. We both enjoyed our 4 piece fish dinners. We will be back!
