The food, while I did get it fast once ordered, was mediocre at best and downright not good at worst. The chicken I had to quit eating because it was just so dry it made my stomach upset. The French fries taste and look exactly like Ore-Ida crinkle cut fries.
The portion size is okay in comparison to other fast food chicken, but it’s just not good.

This place used to be great but has really gone down hill in the last year. They now charge for sauces but you still don’t get them in the drive thru. 2 meals now cost $32 and are usually missing items and what is served is poor quality.

For some reason, they do NOT accept tap to pay in 2025?????
I sat in the drive though for 20+ minutes only to be told that they don’t accept tap to pay, which was my only means of payment at that given time. Not only did I waste my time, but I left hungry.
I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

I used to live in this town a few years ago, this place was my favorite in town. Now, it’s gone down hill. “Nonchalant” dude working the window. No greeting, just “what you want.” No exchange during transaction, no words, just stares at you until you give him your card. Nothing more. Messed up my order last time, had to go back to get it remade. Same crew was working tonight. Threw away the entire meal because the tenders had no chicken in it, literally only breading. Each piece smaller than my finger. No silverware, no courtesy, no service. This place is horrible now.

My only complaint is everytime we have dine several tables are dirty. There seems to be plenty of staff members. 2 employees actually sat at a dirty table during their break. No attempt was made to clean the dining area before or after their break.

I have eaten here so many times and loved it. What happened to the food quality. I ordered the chicken strip dinner and my 4 chicken strips looked like bite size dried up pieces when I pointed it out to the lady in black maybe a manager she responded with that’s the way we get them sometimes. Acted as though she hears this all the time. I have never had anything that looked like this before. Hate that there quality has gone to this

been in shawnee for 9 days. ate chicken express 4 times in the first 5 days. i’m was a huge fan and first night in town i had the 4 piece tenders dinner and it was on point.
next two times i went i had to wait a looonnggg time to get my food. first three times mobile orders. tenders were super fresh like i expect from chicken express.
4th time i came i went through the drive through. it was chicken definitely not express. car in front of me got tired of waiting and left.
that 4th time the gravy in the 7 piece tender dinner was ice cold. i ate it anyways but that turned out to be a mistake. bottom floor was dropping out of me for the next 36 hours.
going to give the restaurant a break for awhile. they wait times are pretty ridiculous at this location. 30 minute drive through wait… chicken not so express.
still a fan. just not this location.

I went there about 8:30 last night..
Ordered a 9-piece gizzard and a three-piece dark. They said I would have to wait 5 minutes for the gizzard which I was okay with.
Hold up waiting for my food when I got my chicken it was old it was just two thighs and a dried-up rope.
The gizzards was amazing, cooked very well and very juicy they was very good.
However when the heavyset native lady brought my food out I asked her if I can have some honey and hot sauce.
Or if it was in the bag,
She stated in a very rude manner well did you ask for it.
I then replied in a not so easy tone know but I’m asking for it now. She rolled her eyes said whatever and walked back into the store and never came back out I waited for about 15 minutes.
After waiting 20 minutes for the initial 5 minutes that they said it would take.

We ordered 2 3 piece meals with drinks, family order of ROLLS! NOT SOMETHING THAT LOOKS LIKE IT CAME OUT OF THE GARBAGE WITH A BISCUIT SMASHED IN! I went back in and tossed it on the counter asking this has gotta be a JOKE ! THE LAST TIME THE ROLLS WERE SO HARD THEY ALMOST BROKE OUR TEETH! IT WAS MORE LIKE A SKEET FOR PRACTICE! THIS WAS THE LAST TIME THEY WILL EVER RECEIVE MY PATRONAGE AND HARD EARNED MONEY!
