Overpriced. Food doesn’t meet my expectations. Just an Awful experience. Server was Great. But the food. Just AWFUL. Just offer green spicy sauce combined with chips. Horrible taste . I’ll never ever come back to this place. On top on this. NO PARKING . HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Love this place its better than any Mexican restaurant in Arizona. Super fun atmosphere brightly colored with authentic art and murals . Cute little bar area. They make the best steak nachos with homemade chips . Margaritas of all types are excellent . Service and staff are on point . Love Mezcal .

This place is for people who enjoy real authentic Mexican food. Not the type of food you’d get at a “Mexican” chain restaurant. I’ve been coming here for years and have not once had to complain to the staff. The quality and consistency of their dishes are amazing. The people who are giving low reviews must not be used to authentic Mexican. Do yourself a favor and GO HERE! The prices are wonderful for the quality of food! 10/10
I’d recommend the chicken enchiladas with salsa roja and the steak burrito! You can also get cheese enchiladas which is not listed on the menu 🙂

Had a great time here tonight. Hugo was our waiter. He was very observant to say the least!!! The food was great! We had steak tacos and the chicken soup ( soup is enough for 2 people) we also had traditional margaritas! I forgot to take photos of the food but was able to capture some of the establishment! This cozy restaurant serves traditional Mexican food on state street. It’s quiet and clean! And jazzed up with Mexican decor!

I came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch while in the area and after hearing how great the Mexican food was. We were able to find parking right on the street and didn’t need to pay for a spot. The inside was colorful and had cool decorations on the tables as well as the wall. We were also seated immediately by someone and orders taken. They had some options on the menu that you don’t see at a typical Mexican restaurant which was great as well as chips and salsa. The food came out in a reasonable time and the portions were pretty big as well. The enchiladas were good and the sauce they were in was flavorful. The mixiote verde pollo I felt needed a bit of salt and seasoning, same with the beans that came with both. But both were filling and enjoyable. It also took us a little bit to get our check and then had to flag the waiter down, but overall it was a nice visit. I recommend it for some good food and a nice atmosphere.

What a great Mexican restaurant. Food was awesome! Ask for the extra spicy dipping sauce, it comes out warm!! Steak quesadilla was super! Great staff also, kind and friendly!

The menu prices are absolutely insane. The cheapest thing on the menu was a 16$ cheese quesadilla. We also received chips at our table that were so unbelievably stale that they hurt to eat. My 15$ margarita (said on the sign it was 13$) was filled to the brim with ice. Idk how this place is still in business, it’s gotta be the rich Yale kids keeping it afloat

Went for lunch right when they opened on a week day. Staff was friendly, service was quick, and food was delicious!
Seating includes bar, dining area, and outdoor.
Definitely coming back on a non work day so that I can enjoy a margarita!
