The food here is fantastic. I come to Great Wall at least twice a month to get my favorite spicy Homestyle Bean Curd (tofu with vegetables) and it’s delicious every time. Cindy and Peter are so friendly and they always remember your name. If you try this place out you will love it.

Maybe my expectations were too high. The General Tsos chicken was GREAT! The chicken on a stick was dry, tough, and had zero flavor. The pork fried rice was good compared to nearby competitors. The egg roll was good, but meatless. I like meat in my egg roll. I give this place a 7 out of 10, which is the best rating of any other Chinese place that I know of, but I have only lived here 4 years.

Very friendly staff. Food was good, not the best I’ve ever had. The crab Rangoon are huge. I ordered the Chicken with pea pods. Vegetables were overcooked, sauce was very bland, the chicken was tender tho but I asked for double spicy and it was barely spicy at all. I mean, it wasn’t horrible but it was lacking. The pork egg roll was ok, bland as well. I think they need to use some spices or something because everything just tasted bland.

Alot of restaurants claim to be “New York Style” but great wall is the real deal and they are from new York. if your from the northeast you know how difficult finding good food can be. Fresh tasting piping hot and fast. And they are so nice. And it’s cheap.

I’m originally from NY and I always struggled to find good Chinese restaurants in the various states that I have lived since. I saw this had really good reviews and decided to give it a shot and I’m so glad I did, This is hands-down, the best Chinese food I’ve had outside of New York State in years! I’ll be returning while I live in Florida for sure and they were super nice there too!

This is our new favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is amazing. The fried rice was excellent. I ordered the general tso’s chicken – they give you awesome tasting chicken. Man, I can’t wait until I get a craving for more. 10.25 per lunch special. 11/25/25

wow!! this is the best chinese food around! the egg rolls are perfection great size and texture with cabbage and pork ..the teryaki chicken and boccoli in brown sauce is truly amazing..very friendly and fast service this is our new go to spot its worth the extra drive and pass 3 other chinese takeouts to get there

We live over by the hospitals and our takeout Chinese restaurant is closed for summer vacation. I found this place on Yelp, and it was rated #1 in Ocala. They did not disappoint! If you like crab Rangoon‘s, these have to be the best and biggest ones you’ve ever seen! Everything was fresh and delicious and the staff was super friendly. I got vegetable fried rice and it was the high-quality kind. Where there were baby corn, sliced carrot, mushroom, and bean pods. Not the kind of vegetable fried rice with the little square micro carrots and peas. The donuts were fantastic and super fresh! Look at how many you get in the container in my photo, same with the rangoons.

Unfortunately, I went to this place yesterday to buy food: a combination of rice with boneless ribs and another combination with shrimp and rice. The rice was greasy, the meat seemed to have been reheated and was tough, and the shrimp were spicy. But unfortunately, this caused an allergic reaction a few hours later. When I went to get some food for myself, I took some for my dog, who is used to eating Chinese food and homemade food. When I saw my dog, I had to give her Benadryl because she was having an allergic reaction. She only ate boneless ribs, and this caused her to start having trouble breathing and also developing large lumps all over her body. Her private area looked like it was going to explode. I felt like I was going crazy. I gave her some Benadryl to see if she would get better, but later my dog started vomiting and had diarrhea. I also had an allergic reaction to this food. Anyway, my husband and I ended up throwing it away. I only went to this place because it had good reviews, but please be careful. I don’t recommend it. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but when your health is at risk, I have no other option. I thank God that my 3 and 5-year-old children didn’t eat this food. My husband said the shrimp combination was spicy and not very good, so he didn’t eat it. This was yesterday, November 4, 2025, at 3:07 PM. Always read the reviews.
