This is one of the few gems of downtown Miami. The reason? Great food and a wide selection of beer. The place gets really crowded specially during lunch hours and Fridays, which can make the wait longer, but I definitely a tasty option for meat lovers. And if you bring a vegan friend they have salads too. Everyone wins here 🙂

The service is great, the sauces are great, the barbecue… not so good.

I ordered the smoked wings and a rib/brisket/pulled pork combo. The wings were tasty, but very rubbery. The ribs also had the same chewy, rubbery consistency. The brisket was tender, but tasted more like a roast than a smoke. The pulled pork was good and very tender. The fries were a little thin for me, but the seasoning was nice. The mac and cheese tasted fine, but was really mushy. I did love almost every sauce they offered. All homemade and really flavorful. They even make their blue cheese dressing in-house. I just wish the meats were better…

The food doesn’t justify their high prices. I can’t afford to give these guys a second chance.

Came here with two friends on a week night with a little over an hour before their closing. The staff was immediately helpful and very very friendly which is always a thumbs up in my book. Our server recommended a craft beer for everyone at the table based on their preference and I can’t remember which I had but I remember loving it!

My party of three decided to order a bunch of menu items to share family style so we could all taste a little bit of everything. We started off with the bacon which was stunningly delicious. The bacon was perfectly glazed and came thick cut which we all enjoyed. Next we had the corn nuggets which I was a fan of but when it came to the corn bread that was a bit of a miss for me since I found it too dry so it became very crumbly. We ordered the three meats platter: guava ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. The guava ribs were amazing and I was surprised how much I enjoyed the guava flavor since I’m not big on sweet bbq. The pulled pork was also very good but I didn’t like the brisket too much. I thought the brisket was overcooked and too salty for my taste. The sides were delicious though of sweet potato mash and macaroni. So there were some ups and downs with our meal.

I would come back if I was Downtown craving some BBQ but found the prices to be a little steep.

Great tasting BBQ! I had a lunch meeting there and was expecting the typical BBQ joint, but I was very much surprised. The pulled pork was “melt in your mouth” deliciousness. Paired with your craft beer of choice and you just can’t go wrong. ❤

We had been at the Pérez Art Museum Miami and were looking for a place close enough but not your usual tourist stop. The reviews were promising and though none of us is a barbecue fan we decided to give it a try. We are glad we did. The place atmosphere feels authentic, the food was great and the service was friendly. We had the Beef Brisket & Pulled Pork and ribs with the dry rub.

UPDATE: Brisket was dry, pulled pork soggy. Ribs OK buta bit tough, vinegar sauce was good. The crawfish roll was OK. The Chicken sandwich had some interesting flavor served on a DIFFERENT TYPE OF ROLL. The collard greens were the best part of the meal. Staff was attentive but this did not Make up for the lack of good BBQ. After receiving a questionable reply from the owner due to our review, we will definitely not return.

Great BBQ and super friendly staff! Got the ribs with sides. There’s a wide selection of different sauces, and plenty of ribs to try each one. Place had a good vibe and was a fun little hangout for lunch. Remember to save room for desert!!!

Just wow. Haven’t been to other ribs places in Miami, but I have been to other places in the world and this restaurant is up there. The place is amazing. Really friendly. The menu is varied and delicious. I ordered the guava habanero ribs. Totally recommend those. And get a side of beans! Best side I’ve had for a long time! Has a nice selection of american beers on tap too. Nothing like ribs and beers!

Everything was delicious. We had the catfish fingers the side of bacon the pulled pork and the brisket. the brisket was sliced extremely thin as if it was going on a sandwich rather than in a larger chunk as if to be eaten on its own. Their hoisin BBQ sauce was incredibly delicious. Also they had a really great beer selection.

We found Sparky’s by a google search for near by restaurants. The atmosphere was very cool and staff very friendly. The bbq was different than what I’m used (St Louis style) to but very good. I had the baby back ribs and brisket with fries and baked beans. The brisket was in a sauce and very tender. The ribs had a nice rub and tender. My wife enjoyed her veggie burger and fries. I ended my experience with the key lime pie. If you are in the mood for good bbq, I suggest Sparky’s.
