We are from out of town. Should have read the reviews before going….giving it a three stars because of the atmosphere and service. It was empty and the only noise was the tv which was playing a soap opera??? The lady who served us was a little stand offish but did greet us when we left.
As for the quality of the drinks, it was about average and expensive for what we got.
I won’t be going back but I do hope for more business for their sake.

Twenty miles down the road from Pale Horse Coffee we passed Blue 42’s. We weren’t planning to stop, but I saw “coffee” on the sign and excitedly said, “You should stop the car Chachi I see coffee”. Then my oldest said, “And there’s shaved ice.” My sweet hubby turned the car around.
Blue 42’s is next door to a farmer’s market with delicious looking dessert items, fruits, vegetables, snacks and drinks. My kiddos enjoyed the stop.
I felt like living on the wild side so I ordered a drink I don’t normally have; a blended ice coffee. Honestly, I think it’s more of a dessert. The mocha chip was quite the treat and since I was living on the wild side I said yesterday to the whip cream.
Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

This is a very new business, with long family ties and standing close by. It will certainly be a success. Beer, sodas, coffee, baked goods from local bakeries, and homemade fudge are just a few of the offerings. The do sell huge loaves of sourdough bread, as well.

Only 1 person working in the entire place, trying to handle the food counter, fudge counter and bar. No prices marked. Bathroom locked. Was never waited on and won’t be back.

Heads up – they only have a bathroom for women. Boys and men are directed to the outside port-a-potty. Service was friendly. Even paying customers have to pay before using the restroom, but that didn’t bother me as I was there for coffee anyway. Wish I could say the coffee was worth the stop, but as you can see from the photo the “cold brew” is more like coffee run through the grounds 2-3 times. We couldn’t drink them, but gave this place two stars because the location, good service, and cleanliness. Hopefully they’ll work on their cold brew method.

Had a quick stop by on our roadtrip. We were greeted with a friendly staff, clean space, and some yummy coffee! It was also right next a fun farmers market with also a great staff as well. This is a great location to stretch, sit outside and enjoy some homemade fudge and coffee.

I never leave bad reviews but this placed earned one. On a road trip and struggling with my 1 and 4 year old because we already went to one place with no bathroom and stopped here because assumed since they were a tap house and coffee bar they would have one. Walked in and asked about a bathroom and a customer said yeah right back there and the lady behind the register with the key says we’ll yeah but what coffee can I start you before she would hand over the key. I said I will buy whatever you want when I get out of the bathroom but I have a 4 year old with her legs crossed needing to pee. Then of course walk in the bathroom to all the Jesus signs. Clearly they don’t display those qualities they just pretend to preach it. Also a mediocre $6 cupcake. Save yourself the stop. If I had know Powell had portapotties in the parking lot we would have just used those and saved myself the $14 for the bathroom.

Quiet little place great for meeting friends for coffee. They have wine, fudge, chips, little snacks and fresh coffee…I like the hot vanilla latte. The workers are very sweet. I’ve been four times and never disappointed.
