Giving this place 4 stars but it really deserves 3.5 stars, and i’m saying this because of the consistency.. this is a GRREATTT sandwich spot, and i love it, everything on the menu is great and the ingredients taste fresh as if they were cut that same day. however, my go-to sandwich here is the spicy snow plover and even though it is great, there are VARYING inconsistencies. I just don’t appreciate how one day i can get a full sandwich and other days it’s the thinnest slices of meat in between bread .. if it were actually consistent and i were to get the same sandwich every time, i would have a better review. I would be weary about the time you come in cause that could mean less meat/a lesser quality sandwich. I used to say that that this place really upheld to quality standards but after getting the SAME exact sandwich twice in one week and both looking completely different.. i can clearly tell that the quality lessens depending on what time you order.

This is a fantastic deli and this kind of spot was sorely needed in Five Cities area. All the food is handmade to order and so fresh. The space itself is really nice and even has outdoor seating, they have a nice collection of local beer on tap and wines by the glass. Did not have dessert but the pastries looked fresh & beautiful.
We visited to get to go orders at lunchtime on a Monday and they were slammed…a good sign! The staff were crushing it. They managed to stay friendly, efficient and accurate under stress. We both ordered the Italian Trio and it was delicious. The arugula and finely chopped peppers and tomatoes were the perfect contrast to the deli meats (mortadella was out of this world). The roll was perfect, firm enough to keep its integrity yet soft enough for easy eating.
Can’t wait to return, the Reuben is calling my name! Thanks for a terrific lunch.

I am beyond stoked that we finally have an awesome sandwich place here! The environment is really cute and the staff was friendly. My sandwich though, was incredible. I built my own and it was fat and absolutely delicious! Everything tastes good and fresh! I’m going to be a regular 😀

100% positive experience all around! Personable, and knowledgeable employees. Outstanding food! Very short time waiting for your order! Great Variety! Very decent prices! Especially with Pismo Beach being a popular beach location… Also, this is at a very easy to access location with many interesting shops in the area to explore before or after your visit to Dune Side Deli. I highly recommend stopping in for a delicious deli dining experience. Indoor and outdoor seating.

We were in Oceano and I was tasked with picking up healthy food for my family who were flying in later. Found this on Google and glad I did! Terrific large salads for only $7! (Add the avocado…totally worth the extra $2.) Got my husband the turkey club. It was HUGE!! He and my son loved it! I took off one star for service as I did an online order, came in at the allotted time 20 minutes later and they just received the order. But worth the wait.

The service was amazing. Multiple employees helped us pick the perfect sandwiches for our mood and cravings. The sandwiches were a great value for their price, mine had so much chicken it was difficult to bite. The variety was amazing, and customization options increased that even more. I was even impressed by the quality of the paper used to wrap our to go orders. I highly recommend this deli shop.

Wow be prepared for a huge, meaty sandwich!
The bread was homemade, toasted and very good! It was the size of sourdough bread! OMG!
Be prepared to eat a sandwich that doesn’t skimp on the meat! Lots of fresh borehead meat with cheddar cheese melted onto the toast. I had purple onions, lettuce and tomato and could barely take a bite it was SO THICK! And don’t forget the fresh avocado which was like a THICK spread!

My son had tuna, lettuce and tomato on the same bread.
My husband had a 3 meat sandwich that was also huge!
I highly recommend the Dune Side Deli to anyone who wants eat a REAL sandwich.

It is conveniently located right next to Central Market so there is plenty of off-street parking.
So refreshing to eat good fresh food that is healthy too!
