One of the worst sushi places I’ve ever been to. The shrimp and avocado roll is mostly avocado. Shrimp tempura roll is mostly cucumber. Spicy tuna roll has alot of mayo to cover up the probably day old tuna. Over all I probably would have gotten better sushi at a truck stop.

Straight to the point, I order a glass of house Pinot Grigio while I looked over the menu. I then see the board with the “all day” drink specials. I read “house wine $10 bottle, glass buy one get one”. Realizing I order a glass of house Pinot Grigio, I ordered another glass. (Assuming it was my free one). I got my bill and saw that I was charged for 2 glasses of House Wine. I asked, are the house wines not buy one, get one? My server: Yes but not the Pinot Grigio, only the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. I reiterated what the sign said and confirmed that I ordered “house wine”. I showed him the menu that confirmed “house wine”. My server then told me that those menus were old and they don’t recognize those menus and the menus are wrong. I asked, well why are they on every table in the establishment of you don’t honor it? He said, “I don’t know, I only work here. I don’t own the place.” I said l, well who does? He proceeded, “2 Chinese men, if i pronounce their names, you wouldn’t know who they are. My server and I went back and forth about the”house wine and buy one get one specials”. There was no resolution. I basically learned that the menus are wrong, there is no House Pinot Grigio (mind you, I was charged house prices for my wine) and my server “only worked there” and “just followed the rules”. I explained to him that I didn’t mind paying (which I did) but it’s just false advertisement and you didn’t solve the problem. Normally in situations like this, I would still tip. This gentleman gave bad vibes upon entry. I usually eat at Little Tokyo on Causeway (love everything about this place) but decided to give this place a try. I will not return. There are pictures/videos. Look at what’s advertised for happy hour and the menu.

I happened to be in town from Slidell and wanted to check out one of my favorite ramen places. Sadly, this was extremely disappointing. The ramen broth was good, but the toppings were cold and made the ramen taste bland, even with spicy oil. You could tell the pork chasu had been sliced cold and just dumped in the ramen. The egg was completely hard boiled. My coca-cola had more flavor than the ramen.
The customer service was ok.
Dont recommend this place anymore.

I absolutely love the food, the service, the ambiance. It’s beautiful to grab a bite here at night. The food is delicious and very consistent. I’ve been ordering from this place for years, Do not let the parking lot fool you. The food comes out quick, you eat quickly. They are very attentive, offer plenty of refills and the plates are beautiful. The staff has a very serving attitude and the portions are large. I ordered my favorite roll: the po boy roll, it is a must try especially if you are not a local. I also ordered the really delicious shrimp and chicken hibachi dinner. This place is a Gem.

I arrive here with a friend who is his first in the U.S. and decide to eat here. It was good and the service was fantastic. Atmosphere is great and more for who are really into the theme.

Tried a few entrees (katsu bowl and soba), so can’t comment on the rolls. It was fine, definitely not bad but nothing stood out. The music was cute for a few minutes but over time is grating.

Really wonderful little secret in this corner of Metairie. Excellent soups (actual soba is a relative rarity in the U.S.) and fantastic yakiniku (grilled meats). Service is always outstanding.
They typically cater to a younger crowd, so the music is usually loud electronic/dance music, which isn’t my thing – but it’s not going to keep me out. Sometimes the music is a little mellower… it’s also well lit, clean, and a fun place to be.
Best items on the menu are the grilled skewers (yakiniku/yakitori). You can get pork belly, with or without items like asparagus, green onion, etc. Also beef, chicken, etc – which I’ve had many times in Japan and are just as good here.
My only gripe (if you can call it that) is a lack of good, imported sake. They do offer the typical brands: Ozeki, Gekkeikan – but it would be wonderful if they could offer some of the better brands like Dewazakura. There’s an Asian grocery very close by that sells many wonderful imports at a good price.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Metairie and I’ll continue to visit as long as they’re here. Really wonderful place.
Addendum 8/14/24 Still just as great as ever. Food and service always top notch!

Lowkey feels like this place could be tucked away in some Japanese alley, complete with cyberpunk-esque vibes courtesy of the panoramic orange tinted glass wall separating the dining room & kitchen. Be sure to check the specials board when you walk in (I always do & regret it after ordering). Not pictured but an absolute must try; the edamame hummus with an olive tempenade, and the most perfectly toasted, soft pita bread, pre-cut & served on the side. You’ll be fighting over the last piece, no joke. Grab a couple of Sapporos and Kampai the night away, surrounded by fine original art paying homage to iconic videos games & anime. The sake is always high quality and they keep it flowing with tentative & enthusiastic service. With a menu expansive enough to take your time exploring, I’ve still yet to have a meal that didn’t absolutely satisfy in every way. Never been? Make this your next date night spot and thank me later After getting sloshed like an overworked Japanese salaryman, head next door and get a face full of white powder…I’m taking about beignets, of course. The perfect way to top off a mini trip to Shinjuku, don’t ya think? Well quit reading this and put this place into your plans. Oh, and the soundtrack?! I was bustin a damn move in here when I went cause the DJ was just outdoing themselves with 90s dance club classics, my kryptonite! Check it out & write your own review, tell em Dalton sent ya.

I honestly didn’t have the highest hopes for here because 1. I lived in Japan for a few months and 2. I went to another ramen place in New Orleans and was extremely disappointed. But this ramen here? Yea they must of went to Japan and learned a few things. Because it was so good! Not too heavy not watery. Large portions and flavorful.
I also got the udon soup and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. The noodles don’t taste like they are straight out of a pack. If they told me they made them fresh I’d believe them. This will now be my new spot when I can’t go to Japan. Customer service was also subpurb too!

Good spot. Love the food and various options. Ramen was very good, wish they had a few more broth options. Will be going back next week.
