It’s our second time dining at this place. Our SD friends took us here a couple years ago and we loved it. We decided to grab a bite without a reservation. There were several bigger parties waiting for tables, the two of us were fortunate to be seated right away. It was packed on a Wednesday evening, probably impossible to get a table on the weekends. We ordered Caramel Espresso Martini, it tastes really good, however could barely taste the vodka. The Puttanesca Napoletana pizza has an amazing dough, just how we remembered it the first time. We will definitely choose a different pizza pies next time, it’s a bit too salty for a taste with the anchovies, olives and capers. The pappardelle pasta with Buona Forchetta sauce is a bit starchy, we should have picked penne instead for a better texture.

Visited for the first time last night with a girlfriend and loved our meals! We had the burrata Caprese, the artichokes, and a wood oven fired pizza that was absolutely delicious. I am Italian and often go back to Italy and very much appreciate the quality choice in wines by the glass and the bottle the staff is incredibly friendly and informed as well which always makes her an even better dining experience. Lastly I think I have the best tiramisu I’ve ever had in the United States last night here so make sure to save room at the end of your meal ❤️

Quaint, authentic vibe. Feels like you’re in a family owned cafe in Italy. Build your own pasta dishes and incredible pizzas. The tiramisu could rival any in Italy. Highly recommend .. very special spot.

Buona Forchetta is a charming Italian restaurant in Encinitas. The decor feels vintage and homey. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. They all seem happy to answer to answer questions and accommodate special requests. The pizza and salad were made with quality ingredients-many directly from Italy. All the diners in the restaurant seemed happy to linger in the comfortable environment. Altogether a great experience.

We loved everything that we ordered from here. I came for my birthday to dinner with my parents and we were all impressed the food and the wine. We ordered the pizza bite appetizer. The pesto one was our favorite! We got two different dishes and two different pieces. The Guilia pizza was definitely a hit!

The Family and I just moved to California and we’ve had food in little Italy but none of it compares to Buona Forchetta. The manager Andrea is very accommodating, polite and pleasant to talk to, with a welcoming personality. The hostess Stephanie was great too! Very pleasant, and kind, with great customer service! The Margherita pizza was lovely and definitely something we will get again!

Buena Forchetta is a staple for my Fiancé and I. The food and service is top notch! Since we love coming here, we decided to have a party there and rent out their party room. Andrea the manager here is absolutely phenomenal to work with. He is very diligent and works with you through all the details and question you have for setting the event up. The time of the event was spectacular. Again the service was absolutely phenomenal. All the servers were very attentive and keeping all our guest happy at all times with serving drinks and food. The food quality goes without saying but I have to emphasize the quality of service we had with a large group of about 20 of us.

Came in for a small dinner on a Sunday evening. Cute decor and was seated right away. Ordered a Nicola pizza and a glass of house red wine. Both were delicious. I wasn’t hungry enough for a salad but from what I saw at the table next to me, they also looked good. Service was really good and attentive. I’d definitely come back again.

My wife and I came in for dinner last night, and we were genuinely impressed from start to finish. I had the ribeye and she ordered the chicken Parmesan, both were absolutely delicious. The ribeye was cooked perfectly with amazing flavor, and the chicken Parmesan was tender, cheesy, and full of rich, comforting taste.
The service was just as outstanding as the food. Our server, Chris, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and really made us feel taken care of without ever hovering. It’s rare to get service that good these days, and it definitely made the whole experience even better.
