It’s time for lunch after Sunday morning church. I decided to try La Suprema in Nederland. The Mini Chicken Nachos did not disappoint, more than I could eat in one sitting. Do not worry that you will get a plate full of chips with just a veneer of toppings, not here! This the real deal , full of the goody! Happy camper…

I came today during my lunch break. I was assisted by Irma. She recommended the flour tortillas since they were home made. They were great! I asked her for a coffee, she brought both the regular cup and later brought me a plastic cup. She said, “it will stay warmer longer”. That was so kind of her. I ordered tortilla soup as my appetizer, and for the entree the Carne Guisada. It had great flavor. The beef tips were perfect in texture. Easy to chew. She then asked me if I would like Spicier hot sauce, which of course I then said yes. Her recommendation was perfect over all. Attached are the pictures. Excellent service. Thank you.

This place serves great mexican food. The prices are super reasonable and the atmosphere is great. We did have a little bit of trouble getting our waitresses attention at times but when we did she was promp.(If we hadn’t seen her sitting down in the main room where the cashier is, we wouldn’t have rated the service 4 stars. We had to catch a passing waitress to get her attention. I still have my ticket if you want to know who our server was.)

First off let me say the staff is top notch! Very nice and attentive. The portion size was also huge and prices were some of the lowest that I’ve found at a Mexican restaurant.
Now for the bad. The food was really bland. There was no flavor in any dish that I ordered. I probably will not visit the restaurant again, which is a shame because the staff was awesome!

First time visit and pleasantly surprised. The salsa – salsa taquera style, had a good consistency and was not runny, has a bite to it but not over the top, but if you are sensitive to spice you may find it a bit much. Refried Beans – creamy and well seasoned, no need to salt these down, some of the best that I have had. The rice – moist but not sticky, tasted great. Enchiladas – ground beef was well seasoned, gravy was good, corn tortillas were not mushy as the ground beef was not greasy. Nice ratio of beef, gravy and cheese, although I would go light on the cheese next time as a personal preference. Staff was friendly and service was superb. Homey feel, with good food / value. Definitely want to go back and try some of the other dishes. Can see why they have been in business since 1970.

What a nice place for brunch, lunch, or dinner! The margaritas were as tasty as the food, the portions generous, they kept the chips and salsa flowing, and the servers were witty and charming. Definitely adding to my list of go to places!

It was pleasant. Food was great. Service could have been a little better. Waitress did check with me once but I was there long enough for a second check the first time I was ok but when I needed something no one was around so I made due but all in all it was very good.

Never Ever Had Steak Fajitas Without Bell Peppers. It Was Too Bland For Me. ( Only Onions) I Also Didn’t Like The Homemade Flour Tortillas. THE Hot Tamales Was Good Tho. They’re A Lil Spicy Tho!
