En 1969 mis abuelitos comenzaron una rica tradición familiar, en la ciudad de Matamoros, llamada #GORDOLELE. Vendiendo unos pequeños pero riquísimos taquitos y tres salsas, Tomate, Tomatillo y Chile. Después en 1982 mis padres abren otra sucursal. Con el tiempo fuimos incrementando más productos, tostadas, sopes, flautas, tamales, frijoles a la charra y cueritos curtidos. Y en el año 2006 abrimos mi madre y un servidor Sheko de la Garza, la primera #TAQUERIASHEKOS y hoy en día contamos con 5 sucursales

My sister hyped up this place for weeks and we finally went together. I’m not sure if something is wrong with my taste buds or hers because I absolutely did not enjoy the tacos at all! And I didn’t eat all day so I could enjoy dinner with my sister because she’d been raving about their barbacoa taco! To better sample the food, I order 1 barbacoa, 1 bistek, 1 chicharron de tripa. The tortillas were almost cold and the meat was flavorLESS! Like, I don’t think they even salted or seasoned the meat-which I know is impossible but that’s the only explanation for how bland they tasted. The cup of charro beans was absolutely ordinary with no hint of the comforting taste we get from charro beans. My sister loves a good papa and THAT was ok! I’m never going back! 5 tacos, 1 papa, 2 drinks +$5 tip = $36!!! No thanks -_-

We came here to meet some friends, it was our first time, but the experience was great. The food quality was great and the tacos were not dry but not greasy either, they just had the right balance. The service was great. Would definitely go back to this place.

Excellent food. The tacos are tasty and small. Order many. The Tortas are off the charts delicious. The bread is soft on the inside, and very crispy on the outside. I could eat them every day….that’s how good they are. Very affordable, excellent service too. Definitely my new go-to place for flavors!

The food is good, and I especially love the traditional tacos.
Usually, I’m served by a short waitress who speaks with an accent.
She’s most of the time hugging and playing with the other young man who wears a cap.
She never comes back to the table to ask if we need something and sometimes we can’t order anything else because she doesn’t pay attention to us or gets our orders wrong.
I only keep coming for the tacos because they’re the best when they’re recently served.

I visited Taqueria Sheko’s and had a great experience with the food! The tacos were delicious, and I loved the variety of salsas they offered – the flavors were amazing! However, the service didn’t quite match the quality of the food. Despite that, the atmosphere felt a bit more upscale than your average taqueria, which was a nice touch. Overall, I’d recommend Sheko’s for its tasty tacos and unique salsa options, but hopefully, they’ll work on improving their service.

I went to Brownsville several times, and every time I went I saw this place,so on my last visit, I decided to stop by and have lunch there, BIG MISTAKE. They call the lonches Progreso style , for them it’s tortas, my friend and I ordered 2 tortas ,1 volcan ,which is a mini size tostada topped with beef, cheese and avocado

1 small container of charro beans, the portions are very small and it’s very expensive. I ended up paying almost 34 dllrs and we walked out of there still feeling hungry. At the time of paying, the cashier over charged me, on the Papa, no where on the ticket it said my papa had beef on it and the cashier charged me 2 dllrs more plus tax, which I noticed immediately and made my claim, she gave me a cash refund. People please check your tickets every where you go, if it’s 2-3 dllrs over charge ,can you imagine how much they steal daily?
A lot of people do not check their charges and they are being careless not watching their money. I did tip the waitress, it’s NOT her fault,but definitely I will never go back,for that kind of money I could of had a fat #5 from Whataburger and would of saciated my hunger . Save your self a bad moment, don’t go there.

The waitress that served us was super rude while taking our order. Whenever I tried to say our drink order she blew me off and asked for our drinks again. Then she brought my dad the wrong tacos.
