Unbeatable Value with the Luncheon Special
The value here is simply fantastic. The Luncheon Menu (available 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Saturday) is a steal. For just $9.95 to $11.95, you get an incredible meal that includes:
A choice of soup (like the delicious-looking soup in the photo!)
Daily Salad
Fried Rice
A Fortune Cookie
And their excellent Oolong Tea (the perfect complement to the meal).
The quality you get for this price is exceptional, making it one of the best lunch deals around! Whether you choose the classics like Sweet & Sour Chicken or a specialty like General Tao’s Chicken (as seen on the menu), you’re guaranteed a satisfying and flavorful dish, like the savory fried rice and entrée combination pictured.
Fantastic Food & Friendly Atmosphere
The food at China Chief is consistently fantastic. Every dish is clearly made with care, featuring bold, authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. This isn’t just fast food; it’s a delicious, high-quality dining experience.
The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is super nice and attentive, elevating the entire dining experience. Good service truly makes the food taste even better!
Great for Parties and Gatherings
If you’re planning a celebration or family gathering, China Chief also offers a private room for parties, which is a huge bonus! It’s the perfect spot to host an event where you want great food, privacy, and excellent service.
In summary: If you’re looking for superb Chinese food, excellent prices (especially the Luncheon Special!), and a friendly, welcoming environment, make China Chief your next meal destination!
The interior design and atmosphere is a bit dated, but isn’t that what we came for, the memories and the good food?! We like it. I still give it overall a 5-star, liked out the waiter, he really made an effort.
The service is quick and friendly, whether you’re dining in or taking out. Orders are usually ready right on time, and the staff makes sure everything is packed neatly and correctly. The dining area isn’t fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable enough for a casual meal, and they’re always welcoming to regulars.
While a few dishes could use a bit more spice or flavor balance, overall China Chef delivers consistently good food and solid value. It’s the kind of local spot you can count on when you’re craving takeout or a cozy, unfussy meal. Definitely a reliable four-star experience.
Until tonight.
It had been a while since my family and I last ordered Chinese food, and this was easily the worst experience we’ve had. I had to add salt to my sesame-fried chicken because the chicken had no flavor. The sauce tasted like a watered-down sweet-and-sour mixture, thin, flat, and uninspired. There was no spice, no depth, and barely any vegetables.
My wife and kids ordered the Beef & Broccoli, and it was just as bad. The beef was bland, and the brown sauce was not rich or gravy-like; more like a diluted cornstarch slurry.
China Chef was never great, but this time the food was genuinely bad and way over-priced!
I didn’t rate the service or atmosphere because my order was takeout.
we were sat immediately and provided water and oolong tea. we ordered the family meal for 3.
the short ribs were tender and sweet. the egg rolls were great, according to my father. i found them to be a bit greasy. the fried rice was my favorite dish we received. i mostly ate that. we also had a shrimp dish which was extremely salty and took my mother and my appetite away. overall okay experience.
And when it’s busy, no one knows anything. I’m pretty sure I spoke with the owner, although he wouldn’t admit it, he was just the only person there not doing any work. And listen. I get it. Places get busy. That’s not the problem here. It’s the complete lack of communication. I tried to call ahead, no one picked up. The 3 hours I was there not I’ve person picked up the phone it just rang non stop. so people just kept coming and coming and coming. Just absolute clown shoes over there
This place may have wonderful food, but for trying to order a holiday meal, I would seek elsewhere
