Tortacos is a great, unassuming, taco and torta restaurant. It fits squarely in the “fast-casual” segment with ordering and pickup of your food at the counter and plenty of seating, self- service soda fountain, and alcoholic beverages available as well. One thing to note is that the front door sticks and can seem like it is locked when it is not. If the sign says they’re open, just pull extra hard on the handle and it’ll open.

The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the food is legitimately good. My quesabirria tacos were delicious and served with consommé without having to ask for it. My wife had the vegetarian quesadilla and she loved it. The chips and queso blanco were also quite good. Service was quick, the food was hot and fresh, and the beer and poloma were nice and cold. There is a salsa bar with fresh house-made hot sauces and a plethora of fresh cut limes amalgamation for those dining in.

We’ll definitely be back soon!

I came 12/29 at 3:30 I usually never have a problem with them I’m not coming back. Lady messed up my order I asked for no tomatoes in my burrito and got tomatoes. Strike 1 but it’s fine I kept eating my burrito even if I didn’t like it I was hungry. I’m 1/2 way through my burrito and I bit on a plastic piece. Strike 2. You’d think that’s it right? Wrong. I took 1 more bite and got a 2nd piece of white plastic and that one hurt my back tooth. That’s strike 3 waste of my time.

7th Update 4.15.25 Al Pastor Burrito and Small Beans. Love the verde sauce and limes. The burritos here are the best!

6th Update 2.11.25 Al Pastor Burrito, Small Rice & Mora Drink. Phenomenal

5th Visit! 11.26.24 Pescado Burrito and Al Pastor Tacos. My buddy got a fleet of Al Pastor Taco’s! This place is amazing! If you have not tried it yet you are really missing out. Ask about Torta Tuesday. Earn rewards with the app! Tortatacos is 20 out of 10!

4th Update! 11.12.24 .. yep still the best! I want to try other things but I love the burritos here. Check my profile I eat a lot of burritos and Tortaco’s is still my favorite!

3rd Update! 8.30.24 Came here for my cheat day lunch. Pescado Burrito and small Rice & Beans. So ridiculously good. Loved it!! I did verde and limes ‍ on every bite of burrito.

2nd Update! 8.28.24 Just got a Chorizo Burrito and Two Al Pastor Tacos for dinner. This place is ridiculously good. At this point I don’t go to any other Mexican restaurant for a quick bite for lunch or dinner. It’s so good. Lately I have been ordering for pickup through “Toast”, similar to Uber Eats or Grubhub but no fee and they prefer to use Toast. If you like anything Mexican you must come here!

1st Update! 8.15.24 I consistently come here for my cheat day meal. Today was a Al Pastor bowl and a Chorizo Quesadilla!! It was amazing!!! This place is still 10/10!!!

Initial Review! I go here every week on my cheat day and get a Chorizo Burrito and Small Rice & Beans. I look forward to it at lunch time and I skip dinner that night! So yummy!!!

If you’re looking for legit L.A.-style Mexican street food, Tortacos is where it’s at. I went with a Torta de Al Pastor, stacked with refried beans, guac, lettuce, tomato, and mayo—flavor-packed and filling. Also had two Carnitas tacos and one Chorizo taco, all fresh, well-seasoned, and made right. And of course, had to wash it down with a massive Horchata.

The food is on point, authentic, and full of flavor. Service was quick and friendly, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. Definitely a new go-to for tacos and tortas in the DMV. Highly recommend!

I ordered the tacos, and decided on 3 different proteins (fish, beef and pork) and each was extremely well prepared. Definitely worth coming back for.

Never been here – did not disappoint, staff is very friendly, we had a misunderstanding on my order and they made it right immediately-

I got the burrito and it was great! If I lived near by I’d be coming back often!

Music is a great touch – keep doing what you are doing Tortacos !

The food is always so consistently fresh and delightful. I always order… chicken quesadillas and carne asada burrito bowl (to-go)… mild and hot sauces; chips, guacamole and pico de gallo. Have tried Tortas… and I think the deluxe quesadillas , the special pollo (all so good)…

Ambiance is dim yet nice in the eating areas. Restrooms are always neat and clean. The overall attention to detail makes for a positive yet clean experience.

Definitely being here from California… it’s one of my family favorites.

Simple, traditional foods served here, but the execution is amazing. I tried all three salad at the salsa bar and they are fresh and bursting with flavor. It’s the traditional taqueria I’ve been dreaming about.

The tacos were really good. It’s a fast casual type of place with a broader menu than a typical taco bar. There are more Spanish speaking diners than English which should tell you something about the quality and authenticity of the tacos.

Now to the food. The guacamole was simple yet surprisingly complex. It didn’t have all the punch-you-in-the-face ingredients that the Chipotle guacamole has but they manage to make you taste a lot while staying simple.

I had the sope combo and loved the texture of the fried, hand-made tortilla. My partner had a collection of tacos and really enjoyed her al pastor. The proteins were wonderful and I will definitely go back.

Tortacos in Germantown is a decent spot if you’re in the area. The food is solid, with some good flavors, though the portions could be a bit bigger for the price. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. It’s not a standout, but worth a visit if you’re craving tacos nearby.
