I’m not typically one to leave a review, especially a negative one; however, it is seldom my drink is made correctly at this location. It’s because of convenience locationally that I continue to give it a shot. The I-81 location is my preferred based off of how they make their drinks.
It always has far too much matcha and is often all over the cup and lid. I’m unsure of how they do it in this location, but they consistently add too much matcha powder and it is not mixed properly. I’ve found clumps about the size of a pea or larger. The sweet foam that I add and pumps of syrup are almost undetectable each time I’ve gone no matter what time of day and throughout the week.
The staff are sweet, but because I’m going through the drive thru and have limited time to grab my drink, I am typically unable get it redone!
After today, I think I’m no longer going to this location regardless of convenience.

Two employees behind the counter, both were busy but neither greeted me, apologized because they were busy or offered to take my order. Very rude and unacceptable behavior!!! I waited a long time before giving up!!! I love Starbucks but as expensive as it Is, I don’t think it is too much to expect the staff to be courteous!!!

New location since I last visited this Starbucks in 2019, moved a block away in the new shipping center, still great service, people and products you know and love. The new pineapple refresher is delicious, very pineappley.

I went to Virginia Tech and have been coming to this starbucks for the past 4 years. This past year (when I actually moved from blacksburg to christiansburg) I would always see Lisa in the drive thru. She is the sweetest woman ever and always had a positive attitude. I would come almost everyday and she had my drink memorized the second I said my name through the speaker (she even noticed when I got a new car) !!!!! She always had kind words to say, great conversations, and always made sure to give my dogs pup cups if she saw them in the back seats!!! I unexpectedly had to move to North Carolina and didn’t get the chance to say goodbye, so Lisa if you’re seeing this – You absolutely made my day and I will miss you!!!! Made my experience so amazing every-time 🙂
