This place is rad!! The music is amazing, the atmosphere and vibe is great, and the food is phenomenal. The asparagus fries, deviled eggs, and buffalo cauliflower are my favorite apps. I am a ranch dressing gal, and theirs is great! The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall great experience. There are multiple bars and booths for seating- love the front garage door type windows too!

Great spot for cocktails.
I had their Lime in the Coconut and it was fantastic and so was their pineapple Martini.
Didn’t try their food so I can’t rate it accurately.
I will, however, highly recommend that you get Guinness elsewhere. The bartenders here despite doing everything else very well frim service to cocktails do not know how to properly serve Guinness.
That said, I would recommend this spot to anyone for their mixed drinks.

Great atmosphere, good drinks, and good food. I ordered the black and bleu burger. It was very delicious. The fries were amazing. While the burger was on the small side, the flavor was explosive and made up for the size in some way. Ill double Patty it next time. I was just in the mood for a hearty burger. No prob. The staff is also very friendly and they seem to be happy working there.

HQ Gastropub has a fantastic location, which initially drew us in. However, the overall experience didn’t quite meet our expectations. The food portions were disappointingly small, leaving us feeling like we didn’t get our money’s worth. Additionally, the drinks were on the pricey side, making it hard to justify the cost.
The atmosphere was another downside. The music was incredibly loud, making it difficult to hold a conversation without shouting. This took away from the dining experience, as we couldn’t fully enjoy the company of our group.
Service was slower than we anticipated. We had to wait longer than expected for our orders to arrive, and it felt like the staff was stretched thin. Despite these drawbacks, the location is undeniably great, and it could have potential with some improvements. For now, it’s a mixed bag.

We have always wanted to eat here because of it’s location and all we’ve heard. We started off with the Short Rib Poutine and Chips and salsa, both were excellent. They didn’t have kids menus available but they have one and the servers are very knowledgeable about it. Our kids loved their burger and chicken strips. We both had the Pot Roast Sliders which were fabulous, I had sweet potato fires and she had regular and again, hot and crispy with good flavor. But the absolute best thing about our visit was our server Siobhan, she was busy, hustling and killing it with a smile and great personality, you can get great food a lot of places, but the service blew us away and we will definitely be back because of it and hopefully we get Siobhan again cause she made our dinner.

I love the location but the food was just okay. The sushi burrito didn’t seem like much or anything special. The beignets were practically empty, I’m used to having a little bit more of dough inside or an airy donut but this was all crust. Not impressed. Then the service was rude and before getting our messy dessert, the waitress took all our napkins and utensils as if she was cleaning our table while we were still expecting food. It felt unwelcoming and rushed. Not sure if I would want to go back.

Unfair Treatment and a Very Uncomfortable Experience
We came here to watch the Super Bowl and were told upfront that in order to keep our booth for the game, we needed to order food at least once an hour. We agreed to that and did exactly what we were told. We ordered food consistently, ordered drinks, and spent money without any issues.
After being there for about an hour and a half, right as the game was about to start, we were suddenly told we had to leave. There was no line, no crowd waiting for tables, and no clear reason given. When we questioned it, we reminded them that we were following the rules they set. Despite that, the manager handed us the check and said the general manager instructed him to make us leave.
What made this situation especially uncomfortable is that we are Latino, and we noticed that other tables around us were not asked to leave. Several groups appeared to be ordering drinks casually or less frequently, yet they were allowed to stay. We were the only ones told to leave despite complying fully with the requirements.
The way this was handled felt discriminatory and deeply unfair. Being asked to leave after spending money, following their rules, and seeing others treated differently made the situation feel targeted and disrespectful.
This experience left a very bad impression. I would strongly caution anyone, especially people of color, about coming here for major events. We will not be returning.

Definitely my favorite burger place in HB. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is casual, fun and chill. They have a great selection of food and drinks. The music is always great and I love the design of the place. But best of all, the ocean view!

Love the atmosphere here… Large, open space with lots of seating. Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable bar seating, extensive food and drink menus… Lots of beer and fancy liquor selections. Rumor is, they even have speakeasy with love music,

HQ was a blast! The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch! Plus the ambiance is great – plenty of TVs if you want to hang out and watch sports, gaming tables, spacious, cool music, great vibe. And you can still have a conversation, it’s not that noisy.
My wife and I ate at the bar and Frankie was our server. He was outstanding. We were obviously tourists, and not exactly young, and this place has a hip vibe. Frankie treated us really well, made us feel very welcomed and appreciated. He attended to us quickly, checked on us periodically (at just the right times), he was friendly and helpful with the menu, and bartenders like Frankie are the reason we prefer the interaction of eating at the bar. But he was far from the only friendly staff member. Just about everyone we interacted with – food delivery, other servers, etc. – everyone was pleasant and actually greeted us (a really pleasant blonde server comes to mind here).
And the food was truly excellent. Man, I’m still thinking about that awesome pretzel! Absolutely perfect. My wife has a gluten allergy and said screw it, this thing looks too good to pass up. And she was right. Soft and fluffy on the inside, perfectly done outside, a little glaze, and both cheese and syrup (yes, syrup) to dip it in. I was hesitant about the syrup at first but wow, that combination is a big winner!
The burger was delicious, great flavor, cooked to (for me, medium well) the perfect temperature, soft bun, fresh lettuce, tomato and onion, and accompanying fries hot and tasty. Very nice.
A lot of locals enjoy this place and it was great to feel comfortable and welcome. This was actually our 32nd wedding anniversary and had planned originally to eat at a high end steak and seafood restaurant, changed our minds, and are incredibly happy we did. We’ll remember this really fun experience for a long time.
