The burgers were a great size for the money! The bread on all 4 burgers was stale and very hard to chew. We decide to just eat the meat if one half and bring other half home and put in a fresh bun. The cheese that was melted too of the bacon was very hard as well. The fries were off the chain good. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. I will try again but I will certainly request fresh bread. We were there I. A Friday pm and it was Not a busy time of day!

A friend told me about Papa’s and brought me a Bayou Burger from here. First of all, the burger is huge and comes on a fresh homemade bun. The Bayou Burger has crawfish Étouffée on top of the beef patty. It tasted really good, the only problem was they didn’t put enough of the Étouffée on it. So it ended up being a little dry. Otherwise, I would have loved it. It came with a nice helping of seasoned fries. I would definitely go back but unless you have a huge appetite, you can share one of these burgers.

It was a great tasting Burger but I did not care for the bread. Not exactly sure what it was but it was too thick adding too much thickness. I also think the bun would have tasted better if it had been toasted or grilled. I really liked having a choice of a half burger. Perfect size.

I called today at 2:15pm to place a to go order, no one answered.
I called again a few moments later to find that the phone was apparently left off the receiver and I got a busy signal.
I then drove to the facility to order in the restaurant. I arrive at 2:23pm only to be told “we’ve already shut dow for the day.” That could have easily been said over the phone, it’s apparent that whomever was covering this shift wanted to make sure that they leave the facility at 3pm instead of “shutting down” at 3pm.
Nonetheless, I am not pleased with the service nor the young ladies response when I entered the facility.

Hands down the best burgers in Shreveport/Bossier. The hours can be a limiting factor in enjoying them, and being a family owned establishment there are times when I’ve tried to go only to find them closed, but the food is worth the minor inconveniences.
The onion rings are very good, and if you go the french fry route then definitely them cheese on them.
Note that this is NOT a fast food restaurant and not somewhere you’ll be able to stop in for a quick meal during lunch. At peak hours, plan for a little bit of a wait, but again, the food is worth it. There wouldn’t be a wait if the food wasn’t so good!

3rd visit: Tried the Ribeye Philly. …. No words!!! Best Phillysteak I’ve ever had. The only thing negative was that it was not big enough. Lol.
2nd visit update: STILL the Best Overall burger experience!!!! Learned a valuable lesson from the first visit… NEVER come here and order 1/2 a burger.. LOL, ALWAYS get the whole burger and take home for dinner! Oh And the fries are a must! That is all!
1st visit: Best overall burger experience EVER! Not only was it the biggest and best burger patty, but the homemade bun was fantastic. The best crispy fries. Like I said an overall AWESOME BURGER PLACE.
