Hidden hot spot for good Mexican comfort food. Place is small with some covered outdoor seating available. It can get crowded with the mix of college students and locals. Food is prepared upon order but they are fast. I am a burger fan and this was fresh and delicious.

This place is a great to-go for decent mexican food in quality and quantity for the price! It’s a very small dining area with outdoor seating as well. Service is quick and friendly (we were there when it was empty but it was late lunch hour on a Sunday although more diners trickled in). Ordered two drinks, fountain and Coca-Cola bottle from Mexico with real sugar! I got the chimichanga combo plate that came with guac, sour cream, and rice & beans for $10.50 (pretty good for that price!) Husband got the enchilada and taco combo that came with rice and beans for $10 and ordered an extra taco and he really liked it especially for how much we normally pay at other places (about double). Both combos came with chips and dalsa. Also ordered a side of fries on impulse and they weren’t bad but probably wouldn’t order again because it’s just too much food. We love Sonoran style mexican food, which this is, and we typically eat at Casa Reynoso or Aunt Chilauda’s or Garcias but honestly when we order the same combos for lunch and pay $60 after tip we came here and honestly question why it’s worth it. The quality doesn’t hit as much and it’s a little bit less but if you can relate please try this place. When it was all said and done, I think our bill was $32 and you can’t go many places and pay that for two people anymore. Will definitely be back!

Got a call from my husband wanting some Breakfast Burritos, I was not opposed haha, anyways I stopped here (being my first time) and there was only a couple there and I ordered 1 carne asada burrito, 1 California burrito, and 1 ham & egg burrito with cheese enchiladas, and two bottle of coke!! For only 42$ holy cow! Were they delicious wait time was extremely short, the waiting area is covered by shade I’m sure it gets hotter later on but it was very nice in the morning. Salsa is spicy ️ but so flavorful. Definitely will be back again:)

AMENDMENT TO ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW- open to read. The Chile Relleno burrito is life changing! I’ve had the carne asada also and it was great- but that chile relleno is truly amazing. I can’t talk myself into trying anything else!!! Also the red and green salsa is always fresh, and delicious- just perfect for me! Try the guacamole w yours- it’s always fresh and perfect as well. Not cheap but worth it- AMENDMENT- OK this place is very good but its expensive- also, they get it wrong A LOT! Every time I go there, I have an extremely difficult time w the counter person. I like their mild salsa-its great. The hot salsa is fiery death hot- every time I get food there I ask for mild red and mild green and every time they screw up and give me the hot which I can’t even eat. EVERY GD TIME- THEY SCREW IT UP… The sides of guacamole are expensive- its really good so I’ll buy it. Instead of the 4 I asked for, and PAID FOR- I got 3 half empty ones… 45 bucks for 4 burritos- the wrong salsa, and not enough of any of it- Guys- this day and age, tossing out the better part of 50 bucks for taco shop food is a lot. I understand mistakes happen, but when the mistakes happen every time, it’s not a mistake anymore it just shows you really don’t care enough to value your customers, my money, and my business enough. So goodbye, and good luck. You’re going to need it. Very seldom are the ppl working the counter even nice. I get more attitude than salsa so you can keep them both- I’m out!

Rude chubby guy server, cutting me off while talking and acting like taking orders is a genuine hard job. Not to mention a TOOTHPICK in my hard shell taco

Highly recommend the steak taco salad! I was full and the shell was freshly made (I’m pretty sure). Great value.

Their outdoor dining area is closed so I took it to go. They did give a bag of chips and salsa with my takeout order.

Nestled between Phoenix and Tempe, the town of Guadalupe boasts some wonderful little gems. We stopped by Loreto’s and were very pleased with the quick, efficient service, cleanliness and tasty Mexican food.

Btw, they cook with vegetable oil – no lard!:

I ordered the steak (carne asada) torta. It wasn’t the best I’ve had (I’m counting in Mexico too) but it was decent. The buttered bun was probably the best part.

The chips we’re good and the salsa mild.

My husband really liked the carne asada burrito and rice and beans.

The burger ordered for the kids was really plain. No lettuce, tomatoes, onions. But it was large and came with fries and a small drink.

The interior and exterior is simple. There’s a menu outside along with seating and an order window. The bathroom was well maintained and clean. The customer service was fast and efficient.

We hope to return to try something new.

Update September 2019:

We went back and had more delicious food. And I have to say they have some really nice workers. They were all so helpful and kind! I didn’t even have to ask to sample the aguas frescas, they read my mind and offered. Very good service.

My only suggestions that I think would make this place even better? Make the aguas frescas yourselves, and switch out the styrofoam plates for reusable ones.

The food is hot and delicious and serving it on a cheap plate is such an insult to the food and cooks. Actual plates (melamine is durable!) Would feel so much more satisfying.

Thank you!
