The food here is absolutely incredible—every dish is packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Their signature chicken is juicy, tender, and seasoned beautifully. The sides are equally delicious, with a great variety to choose from.
The staff is super friendly and attentive, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, making it perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with family and friends.
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Don Chicken. You won’t be disappointed!

Welcome to Flavortown, King Farm, Rockville edition! Don Chicken is the kind of hidden gem that Guy Fieri dreams about on a cross-country food quest. Tucked away just enough to feel like you’ve discovered something special, this Korean fried chicken joint is serving up the best bird in town, no contest. The soy garlic wings are straight-up crispy dynamite: golden, sticky, and packed with a punch of sweet-savory goodness that’ll have you licking your fingers and asking for round two. It’s a flavor explosion that hits all the right notes.
And if you’re feeling adventurous, the baby octopus fried bites are little crispy rockets of oceanic joy, perfectly seasoned, perfectly crunchy, and totally addictive. The vibe here is warm and welcoming, thanks to the kind and friendly owners who treat every guest like family. Sure, it’s a bit tucked away, but trust me, it’s worth the hunt. Don Chicken isn’t just a meal, it’s a full-throttle flavor ride. So grab your crew, roll in hungry, and prepare to have your taste buds blown into next week. Highly recommend!

I got the soy garlic fried chicken. The wait time wasn’t long. It came out fresh and crispy! Definitely enjoyed it – every bite was tender, juicy and flavorful. They’re pretty generous with the sauce. The owner was friendly. This place is clean and well maintained, especially the restrooms. The street parking in front of the restaurant may be limited, but you can find more spaces behind the restaurant if you turn right into the Safeway parking lot. A suggestion I have that would improve the dine-in experience would be the addition of single use plastic gloves and napkins on the tables.

I see that the owner responded, so I have to add: I ordered spicy, the one with multiple peppers on the menu. It cannot be mistaken, because the order was by the number, and specifically mentioned I need spicy!
I guess claiming “Best Korean Fried Chicken” is just an advertisement, but it might raised my expectations a little too high. The soy spicy chicken is too sweet, not spicy at all. A huge piece of tasteless sweet chicken drum that is on the outside chewy and the inside is on the border of raw and cooked. The appearance is dark and the coating is not covering the whole piece so that the meat without coating turns into dry and tough rind – do I eat it or not? Maybe there are many different styles of Korean fried chicken, but this is the style I won’t try again. The portion size is good, for $16 small size, you get 5 or 6 pieces.

The soy garlic and spicy soy garlic wings were delicious. Highly recommend the cheesy corn bites, too. The lady in the front was so so nice and even gave us a new appetizer for free with our order. The chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. Will definitely return many times!

Today, I tried Don Chicken for the first time, and it exceeded my expectations. Many Korean chicken places that have expanded to the U.S. have often been disappointing. My family can’t handle spicy food, so we ordered the soy garlic and 2 kinds of snowing fried chicken. All three flavors were delicious. The white and yellow cheese powder was sweet, which the kids loved, and the fried chicken was perfectly crispy.

I absolutely love this place! I came in on Sunday evening craving Korean food, and I’m so glad I chose the right spot. They had this cool automatic ramen maker, something I’ve seen in Korea, and their fried chicken was next level. I tried the Spicy Soy Garlic and Cheese Snowing fried chicken, and it was perfection. I also sampled some of the sauces, and they were also perfect. We got regular French fries and tteokbokki too, and both exceeded my expectations. On top of that, the staff was super kind, even giving us a side of coleslaw for free. I highly recommend it!

Order to go. Wanted to give this place a shot since my wife is a harsh critic when it comes to Korean food and we both love korean chicken.

We ordered a small fried chicken and don katsu with fries. The fried chicken was so average and the katsu was so hard to cut and chew. Both these were about $45 which is super expensive for this type of food. The servant was so rude, we were the only ones in the restaurant and she still would not bring us the food, she also offered us a left over sample for $10( I have never seen a place giving samples for $10) the service was so poor. All in all was a bad experience and I don’t recommend it at all. not worth it.
