Tiny portions of filling in the sandwich. Might as well have gotten a plain French roll. Pork and chicken sandwich had zero pork and only a few shreds of chicken. Not worth it at all.

(Last visited on 5/26/2021.) My coworker spotted this food truck/cart one afternoon and said he wanted to try it. So we did and it was so satisfying that we went back again the next day! Here’s why!
Atmosphere/Appearance: Seeing as this is a food truck, there isn’t much to it. It’s a cart that gets pulled by a truck or car of some sort, but then parked on the sidewalk on the corner of North Charter and West Johnson Street. I don’t know if it visits anywhere else, but the whole week I was there the cart consistently arrived at 10:00am and left around 4:30pm.
Service: The guy inside is very friendly, soft-spoken and very sweet. He makes you feel welcomed and very safe.
Food: So this place specializes in Vietnamese sandwiches. That’s pretty much all they do. There are 6 sandwiches you can choose from where the ingredients are chosen for you, but you can of course customize your own. Both times I went I went with chicken as a meat, then added sweet pickled carrots w/diakon radishes, spicy jalapenos, fresh cilantro and dehydrated onions. The sandwich was so different from the “usual” sandwiches I eat. It was sweet, savory, fresh and just delicious. The bread was crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside. It had a great balance.
Value: $6.50 for a sandwich. You can’t beat it.

Good Bánh Mì? No idea. Good sandwich? Absolutely. This is the only Bánh Mì I’ve ever had, so I have no frame of reference, but the food is delicious. The bread has a great crust with fluffy texture. The vegetables are crisp and fresh. Meats are tender and well-seasoned. Price is very reasonable and the service is fast. Great quick bite on the UW campus!

UW physics students, take note: I’m convinced there’s a wormhole to a restaurant in Hanoi hidden inside this food truck. There’s simply no other explanation for how such high-quality food comes out of such a small space—it easily surpasses what you’d get at full-scale restaurants.
