Went to Takosushi with high expectations. As a chef and culinary guru I expected taste as well as presentation to be on point. My initial order of grill salmon with sautéed veggies and beans…..Was a No Go!!! NO FLAVOR AND PLATED WITH FOOD NOT CENTERED….MESSY!!!! As Chef and Culinary Guru and Food Tester you just expect greatness at every spoonful at a place like Takosushi. 7/10 My second selection and recommendation from the hostess was a SMASHING HIT!!! Our server Arionna s (Ari) was so fantastic! She was bubbly, attentive, and prompt. This is my favorite restaurant and our service is always great but she really was outstanding to the point I felt compelled to call her manager over and tell them how fantastic our service was. This is the service I always hope for but never expect out of any business but she went above and beyond. I can’t brag on her enough. This was our best experience in the 8 years we have been patrons.

A very nice place with great atmosphere. Service was amazing, our waitress Dee was fantastic. The big issue was the food. The sushi, even though it was good quality, it just wasn’t made very well. It was like I made it for the 1st time. They were way to big, just too much rice. Even on the Japanese Bagel roll, the cream cheese pieces were way too big, so eating it tasted like biting into a block of cream cheese, where you couldn’t taste the Salmon. Then my wife got the Filet Mignon tacos, but the meat was mostly fatty, and Gristlely. We told our waitress Dee, who brought it to the manager, who agreed and remade it for her. The new steak was better, but was not a Filet, but more sirloin. The Calamari was very tasty, and the dipping sauce was awesome. Our taquitos were really good too. They had a lot on neat and creative items on the menu, so I would probably try them again, but I would be a little suspect.

TakoSushi offers a unique mix of Asian and Southwestern cuisine, and they do a great job! Plus there’s options for your whole party when you can’t choose between tacos or sushi. The Crazy Roll was fresh and flavorful, while the Chicken Pimento Cheese Taco had the perfect sweet and savory combination. The Three Amigos is an excellent appetizer with tasty salsa, queso, and guacamole that’s sure to please the whole table. Our server Kristen was fantastic and the place has cool ambiance for quick lunch or nice date with comfortable outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

Visited the place during lunchtime on a weekday , not very crowded however the food was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the crabby patties as an appetizer they were very large and tasted ok, however ordered two tacos which I specify requested be crunchy it took over 30 mins to bring them out and when I received them only one taco was a crunchy taco. The other was a soft tortillas!! Because I waited so long I didn’t have time to complain. Very disappointed a waste of money.

I ordered 7 items. $120!!! Portions were very small. Took 2 hrs to get using delivery from Uber/ Instacart for a 20 min ride to my house! Couldnt eat the eggrolls they were so burnt & small. All the sushi was dry no taste, no wonder they have it so spicy! That’s all you taste. Rice was like mush & dry. Veggies inside were old & mushy brown. Dipping sauce was in small separate containers that had been smashed down into some of the sushi pieces. All it was is mayo! YUK! I will NEVER eat here again! They wouldn’t even refund my money! I couldn’t eat this crap!! I can get WAY BETTER sushi from Kroger for the same money and get double the amount with fresh veggies & fish!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR REAL SUSHI!! I would post a Pic but it won’t let me!! It’s garbage!

This place is not very good. Thought it would be because it was in a convenient spot and high reviews. Nope even the California roll was not good. Just had bland taste and the shushi rolls looked like they quickly made them with no effort. Spring rolls are crunchy on outside look nice but taste mushy like undercooked inside. Smells like dirty dishes and trash everywhere. To add to it this guy outside was singing with the worst speaker. Our server was nice and she did her job well but everything was just not good. My cup with water on it had random food glued to it.

I have been going here for years and the food and service have always been top notch. However, a visit this past Saturday was surprising when I was served an order of yellow tail and mackerel sashimi. I’m including a photo of the dish that was presented but should have never left the kitchen. I thought it was raw chicken and cat food. Our waitress was lovely, it was not her fault but we did learn that the regular sushi chef was on medical leave and whomever was covering had no idea what they were doing. I’ll be back again for sure but am gonna to wait a few months.

Staff was rude when we arrived- after being sat and appetizers put in- had to flag waitress after our appetizers to finally take our order. It was barely busy and a large party was walking through the door. Order was put in at 4:10pm (before large party ordered anything)Sushi rolls were ready and sat for 15 mins on the sushi bar waitress addressed us once to say the order of fish and shrimp tacos should be ready and then came back and asked if we wanted the rolls for my daughters I said yes being they had already been done. 5pm and after our order of simple fish and shrimp tacos had been ignored on being checked on again and daughters had finished their rolls asked for the check – waitress said they should be done went back to the kitchen came out with nothing went up front took the tacos off and came back with check. Barely apologized at all and everyone around us had their food and large party had already been served appetizers and orders were coming out- 3rd time here and last time. Also we were the only table given plastic to go cups to put our soy sauce in while everyone around us had actual dishes. Each time I’ve been here the waitresses all seem to hate their job, food was decent so tried to give it a chance.

The cons: they offer a gluten free menu but their staff isn’t well educated so be careful! They told me all sushi rolls were GF. I asked if the ones that have tempura in them are GF: no. I asked if the teriyaki sauce used in some is GF: no. I specifically asked the server to make down that I have a gluten allergy for the chef (I end up in the ER vomiting for hours if there is an accident). She said she would but low and behold, a roll with crab used imitation. I asked them to check and see if it had any wheat in it and it did. The chef had to look at the package so I guess he didn’t know either ♀️ Surely, that would have been a catastrophe. We would have normally spoken up to management because it’s a big deal but the server did feel bad and was very sweet and attentive otherwise. A suggestion for the establishment would be to get management involved with any allergies or they’re going to end up on the ugly side of someone getting very sick (or don’t offer a gluten free menu!).
I don’t think we will be back because the food was … just okay and not worth the song and dance of trying to make sure something is gluten free.
