I’ve reviewed the Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Cypress previously, and many of my praises translate directly to this locale here in Cerritos. The food, atmosphere, and pricing is exactly the same. It’s a fun experience that is best enjoyed with a group. In this case, it was worth my family. We wanted to return to Kura mainly because of their current collaboration with the anime/manga series, One Piece. At my teens’ insistence, we came so they could collect the One Piece collectors items, but having the added benefit of great food to enjoy certainly didn’t hurt the experience. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar continues to be one of my family’s favorite food trips. And I’m sure we’ll be back again soon as soon as my kids find out what the next IP collaboration will be.

We came on the day the Kirby blanket dropped. My bf called at 1pm and they said they had 50 blankets. We came around 4pm and they were sold out. The workers claimed they sold them and ran out in the morning??? Weird because my bf called at 1pm and they still had some.
We still planned on eating here so we waited for a table. It took more than an hour, we still didn’t get seated, and it was wayyyyy over the time they estimated and they seated a huge group before us!
The group took up 2 tables and my bf tried asking how much longer it would be for us and the workers just kept brushing him off and ignoring him!
After all that, we decided to leave and go down to the Thai restaurant a few doors down Siam Station. The difference in service was insane. We were seated immediately and the waiter was so nice and accommodating!!
Dont waste your time at Kura! You’ll be waiting hours for mid sushi.

Always a great time and meal at Kura! We go as often as we can! Always great quality fish and fast service! This time there was a new dessert called Gooey Butter Bar and omg…..it was incredible!!

Our first time at Kura’s. First, prepare to wait. We were there on Thursday, at 7pm. We (3) didn’t get seated until 7:45, even thou the check-in indicated an estimate 20 minute wait.
Once seated, the waiter explained the ordering process (similar to the revolving sushi bars in Japan).
We got our sushi from the belt and from the tablet menu. It was an easy process. The food was delivered quickly and was rather tasty.
We had 18 plates. Some were good and a few were just ok. We were too full to try their desserts.
Two dishes were a disappointment. The cucumber salad didn’t have any umami flavor. It tasted like plain sliced cucumbers. The miso soup was lukewarm (should be hot) and the tofu was cold. It was also salty.
The staff was attentive. They checked on us multiple times.
Do we recommend Kura? Absolutely. It was a fun experience and the sushi was good. We’ll definitely be back, but probably not during the peak hours.

One negative thing I will say is that they have a way of making the process of finding the current total difficult, and you have to add it up yourself, this seems a bit shady. It’s important to always double-check the price after ordering food. This was my first experience with a revolving sushi bar and it was definitely a fun and pleasant surprise. There were so many things to try. As far as the food goes, it’s pretty delicious. As for the price, however, the food isn’t not too expensive but the bill can add up VERY quickly. I came here for the first time with friends and it was a fun, enjoyable, and decently authentic experience. I will tell people about how cool revolving sushi bars are thanks to this place, and recommend trying A revolving sushi bar at some point.

It’s one of my favorite places to go to eat with friends. The variety of sushi is good, as well as the desserts. It may get busy during the lunch rush and dinner hours, but surprisingly, the wait time doesn’t take long even if it does say “~30 minutes.”

Took my family to this establishment and we had a BLAST!! It was so fun we actually went there twice, and that’s something we don’t typically do since we’re from out of town. 10/10 recommend, prices are fair, food is amazing.

This was my first revolving sushi experience, the staff was very nice and they demonstrated how to pick the plates from the train to me and my dad. We weren’t there on a really busy day, we did have a bit of a wait but it was reasonable.
As for the food, I didn’t have one bad bite. I enjoyed everything I ate and I even ordered a Tempura Udon. It was delicious!
I still have much left to try at Kura. I’m happy to come back again, it’s a fun and an enjoyable place to eat.
The gachapon is also so neat!
