Ordered Sesame chicken large and it was so burned we had to throw it out. The food has gone significantly down hill at this location in the last 1yr or less. I would suggest NOT spending your money here. Over priced for the quality of products and quality of preparation. The green beans were over cooked and practically a paste. The wonton soup has “wontons” which are mostly dough, questionable texture meat and a distinct chemical flavor. I want a refund.

This place caught my eye when I saw it was one of the higher rated places in Mundelein, decided to give it a shot. Ordered on phone, person was very happy to help. I ordered Orange Chicken Jung-Ho special, and fried wontons. When I came home, I realized they forgot the rice with the chicken. The chicken itself was good flavor and good sauce. The wontons however, where absolutely horrible. Tasted super stale, and upon biting into one I realized they had absolutely no filling. Wontons 0/10. Hopefully next time things are better.

Average Chinese pick-up/hole in the wall for those towards the east of the Hawthorne woods area. Though somewhat comparable to New Kong Ming in Lake Zurich, it’s not quite like China Style (Hunan). As of this review, there’s road construction on the opposite side of the road from a strip mall.
I had the orange chicken and I guess the pork chop suey.. You might see where I was confused from the pamphlet from the top left. Portions to price are about what you can expect, leaning on the smaller side. There’s a fair amount of thick sauce, so you might want to wait until you get home before eating.
If you’re having a pretty strong craving for American Chinese and you happen to be around the area and cannot find another Chinese takeout, check it out.

It’s was good, i’m not sure if they changed hands that used to be excellent, but the food seems a little greasier and kind of bland that was OK, but I think we’re gonna take a break for a while

This is the closest Chinese takeout, but every time we ‘give them another chance’, they fail on all accounts.
“It will be ready in 30-minutes” has never been accurate (more like 60-minutes).
Prices are high especially given the small portions (come on – rice, vegetables, noodles… these are inexpensive ingredients – load it up to at least give the impression that it’s a large serving size)
Never a fan of the food itself – seems bland and usually over-cooked.
Staff has never been very accommodating

I’ve been ordering from Jun Ho for years. It was delicious with the original owner and the new owners are also wonderful. Food is fresh and great flavor. The prices are very fair and I like to get the lunch special. My favorite is the Sesame Chicken.

I have gotten food from here many times. It’s always great. The owner is so nice and really cares about providing his customers great food. But yesterday I got the won ton soup for the first time, and I can honestly say, it is the BEST wonton soup I have ever had.

Not too much oil used. Smells good. Crabmeat Rangoon is a great appetizer. Once you enter the cafe it looks pretty clean and sanitized ,smells fresh food.

Worst Chinese I’ve had in a while. Had Hunan Trio and No depth of flavor. Hot & sour soup was very bland. Will not go back.
