Nice staff, relaxing atmosphere, enjoyed being able to watch baseball games on the screens. Restaurant was very busy, but staff made an excellent effort to be attentive and hospitable during their busiest time on a Friday evening. Food and beverages were excellent.

First time visiting. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The staff is super friendly. Daily specials. Please note- I was told the prices are increasing this week.
The food was tasty and the portions were generous. My only pause was when I noticed my glass of wine was smaller than others’. When I asked why, I was told they save the big glasses for the regulars. That’s fair- I like when loyalty is rewarded.
Update: went back the next week and order the cheese curds. So yummy, and I got the big girl glass! Yay!

Loved our dinner there! Food was great and priced perfect. A whiskey after a long day of golf was just what I needed. Jen was our bartender and she is always awesome. Autumn helped out on a busy night. Service was A+.

Wonderful upon entry. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and customers. The band was awesome. The food was nothing to get excited over. It was on par with any other bar style restaurant. But the Service was not great. We went and ordered some food to go and had a few drinks while waiting. We were checked on a total of 3 times. I watched my food get set in the warming window and sit. For about 15 minutes. A couple of servers looked at the tag on it and then carried about their business. I had to get up and walk over to my server to ask for my food and to pay. I paid, she went to get my food from the window and then stood their talking. After about 5 more minutes of them yapping I decided to walk up and go get my food myself. Sitting so long made it soggy and not as warm as if it would of been handed to us in a timely manner. Total from the time we walked in the door until the time we walked out was 52 minutes. And it was also quit over priced. 2 burgers 3 drinks French onion soup and some mushrooms was $100!!! I expected 65-70 without a doubt but $100 for two people to eat at a bar is insane.

Candice helped us out today and she has a great rapport with all her customers here. You can tell she really loves what she does because she caters to people with a smile on her face and a great vigor for the day. My husband and I ordered eggs Benedict with house-made hollandaise sauce and it was delicious. My husband and I really enjoy the brownie as well. The raspberry lemonade was good but perhaps a little too sweet. The atmosphere was warm welcoming. This is a very popular hangout out spot and they have a live band that’s coming in on the 28th. Kids are welcome until 10:00. They host lots of different events here at this restaurant which makes it unique. My husband and I look forward to coming back with our family someday soon and trying out their dinner menu.

We were visiting the area and decided to try this place. What a wonderful experience. The service is great, the food is very good (big portions) and the pub ambiance is great. Nice place to have dinner like we did. We will definitely come back next visit!

Be aware that they have separate pricing for cash vs. credit card and it’s not disclosed upfront. We took our friend out for her birthday and the bill was almost $200. There were two totals at the bottom- one for cash and one for cc/debit card.
Food was pretty good but I don’t like the lack of transparency so we’ll eat elsewhere moving forward.

The thing I’m most irritated about is that they advertised an all ages show from 8-11. I brought my kids and found out at 9:00 that the kids couldn’t be there past 930. I invited several of my friends out who love pretty far away so I’m glad they couldn’t make it because that would have been a waste of a drive!
I don’t think the band realized there was an age cut off at 930 so the restaurant needs to do a better job at communicating with their performers when they’re having an all ages show.
The food was fine. I had a chef salad. It tasted just like the ones I make at home. The ranch seemed like Kraft ranch. But I dk for sure.
The waitress was nice, but didn’t come by enough. She even forgot something I had asked for and left me hanging for quite some time. Not terrible service. Not amazing service. Just fine.
I doubt I’ll ever come here again.

Every small town in America should be lucky enough to have a local spot like Ridgefield has The Sportsman’s. Good food, amazing prices, friendly staff. Honestly the best burger in town. The Sportsman’s is also heavily involved in the community, hosting local events, supporting charities and the people who live here. It has become an absolute institution on the busiest day of the year in Ridgefield, 4th of July, which just wouldn’t be the same for thousands of people if they didn’t do what they do on that day. Would recommend to anyone who wants friendly service and great food at incredibly reasonable prices.
