I’ve been coming here for years for the fresh smoothies and acai bowls, and it never disappoints! The prices have increased over the years, but it’s worth it to treat myself once in a while since I don’t live nearby. The downside is that the parking lot is small, and it can get crowded since it is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. My favorite is the Hawaiian bowl since it has ALL the best toppings including a scoop of pa’i’ai (thick poi). Yum!!

I’ve been coming to Da Cove Health Bar ever since they first opened and always told people it was one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, today’s visit was a huge disappointment.
I ordered a lava bowl and a mana bowl to go. The menu said the mana bowl was large and the lava bowl was small, but both came in the same 16 oz containers. My mana bowl was supposed to have açaí, granola, honey, banana, blueberry, strawberry, and bee pollen, but there was no honey or bee pollen at all.
The açaí itself was watery and icy, almost like too much plant-based milk and ice were blended in. It had a crunchy texture instead of the thick, creamy consistency I’m used to. I paid $28 for both bowls, which would’ve been fine if the quality matched what I used to get here.
Really hoping this was just an off day, because I’ve always loved this place, but today’s experience left me pretty disappointed.

I’ve tried many acai bowls near waikiki beach but this one is so far the best. Other places use syrups instead of real honey but they use real honey for the acai bowls here.

Mana bowl – pretty damn good. What is that honey?! Soooo good. I would have preferred pineapple over banana, but with the honey, it all tasted so good! Sure, açai bowls are getting expensive, but I would go back again. I was lucky when I came at 2:30ish. People started pouring in after me. I’m definitely going back. So good!

I want to come back to Hawaii just to eat the acai bowl here again.
I ordered the Hawaiian acai bowl, and it was the best acai I’ve ever had.
Every combination was perfect.

I stopped by to have a salad here yesterday and it turned out great. It included avocado and carrot and cabbage and more and it was tasty. Staff were very nice and helpful and this place was busy even when I came during the off hours. They also had fruit smoothies and more.

Great vibes. I had an açaí bowl with the most delicious honey. Fair prices and portion sizes. I liked the surf style murals on the ceilings.

Unfortunately I have to share the same sentiments as other recent reviewers. The açaí bowls no longer taste the same as it once was pre covid. To my surprise from today’s visit it seems like the açaí mixture is premade in big batches and chilled in a cooler/freezer and the staff just scoops from there. It was icey but watery at the same time. Huge disappointment as this place is my most recommended spot since 2017. However, we had a pleasant interaction with the male staff today. He was very kind and lovely.

This restaurant has some pretty good acai bowls! The actual puree is pretty delicious, and the granola/bananas/strawberries is pretty good as well. The only places it’s lacking are the high price, and the lack of seating inside the small interior.

Da Cove has been the spot for over 20 years. The Hawaiian acai bowls are fiyah! Also the fish wrap has always been a favorite. Miss seeing the original founder, Marcus. May he rest in paradise.
