Food is subpar at best. I ordered the chicken tandoori, chicken karahi, and chicken biryani. The biryani was not biryani at all. It was more like fried rice. The chicken karahi was bland. The chicken tandoori was tasteless as well.
Very disappointing.

Wow! Food and service on point, would definitely be ordering again.I kinda knew right off the bat that this place was the real deal, when I saw a lot of Indians eating there as well as people waiting outside to be seated. Waiting time was about 15 minutes so not too bad. After eating all that delicious food I wouldn’t mind waiting an hour if I needed to. Oh.. do check out their wine list, they have some really good local California wines.

Ordinary food with extravagant prices and small portion size. One of the rarest Indian restaurants that cannot accommodate a Jain diet except daal rice. Loved to see a separate vegan food menu. The ambience was good.

Love this place!! Staff is great and kind. The atmosphere is cozy. Easy parking. Food is scrumptious !!! I’ve not had a bad dish yet, but the chai tea is my favorite, and they keep my cup full!

I’ve been discovering new foods I’ve been too scared to try. I decided this evening that I was ready to try Indian Food. Flavor of India was the best choice I could have made. I ordered Veggie Biryani, Garlic Naan, Saag Chana and the Chicken Tikka.

The Veggie Biryani was moist and full of so many flavors. The Saag Chana was so creamy and filling. The Garlic Naan was warm and soft and flavorful. The Chicken Tikka was delicious but it was definitely not the star of the show.

I have never enjoyed a meal as much as I enjoyed this meal. The portions are abundant and filling. Definitely enough to feed 3-4 people. The pricing is very fair, and definitely worth it. I just finished my meal but I am already looking forward to visiting Flavor of India again.

I should also mention I ordered this meal to go, it was ready when I arrived and the staff was inviting and very nice. I took it home and it was all perfectly warm still. If you are questioning whether or not to visit, you definitely should. 10/10.

Had buffet for $17.95 on Christmas. Ended up here as this was the only open place. Pretty crowded. Lot of varieties to choose from. Butter chicken, chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, garbanzo beans, dal, Naan, saag, gulab jamun, kheer, the coke. The food was ok, ok with less spicy, nonoily. Dal was 90% cooked. Butter chicken gravey was nowhere near by a butter chicken.

I was a party of 9, and surprisingly, they charged $40 for tips, which I have seen for the first time for a buffet. Total rip off.

They put coke in the buffet area, which was not part of the buffet, and no mention whether if it was chargeable. It costs $2.95 per can. Be careful of this practice that this restaurant does.

Attention – Avoid this shady place.

Having stayed in Bay Area for almost and decade and visiting Santa Barbara for vacation, its awesome to have a place like this. The food quality was good, service was nice. Price little up but I am fine as it’s once in a while case. They should broaden the lane to enter the parking, need little space in all. Overall I am happy. Thanks for everything.

Edit of 2022 visit – Seems the owners had been wearing a “nice mask” for the customers who order big, are of a particular ethnicity and order directly over the call with them (to avoid paying stakes to the vendors like UberEATS or Door dash). I was travelling with my toddler and a young kid who are picky eaters, so had ordered food via Door dash ( thinking it will save the time of calling). I was notified that the order is ready to pick up and I reached there. After reaching there I showed the order info to the lady at the front desk ( presumably the owner), she asked me to wait for 15-20 minutes. After waiting for more than 20 minutes outside at this cluttered place, I went inside to learn where is the order, the same lady asked me to cancel the order, she stated that she would need another 20 minutes at least (she assumed I was a dasher), that was super rude, she was talking nicely to the natives by the way. But her tone was switching while talking to people of special ethnicity. Anyways, the guy, of below average height passed a really weird smile while his owner was rude with the customers. As soon as the lady learnt that I was not a dasher rather a door dash customer, she asked me to cancel the order and reorder it with the front desk. What kind of shady business is that, why discrimination with door dash or UberEATS customers ?? This lady and her staff (the guy) kept my family hungry. I will go to every possible extent to get this stopped.

Humble suggestions to people who are non local and non natives, avoid this place. There are better restaurants around with better behaving people.
