If I could give this place 10 stars I totally would. I was not expecting an all you can eat place to have such fresh and good quality nigiri! We came at 11:45am on Saturday and there was plenty of seating. Service was decently fast and our server was attentive and friendly. The unagi, ika, and saba nigiri were my favorite. The tobiko, albacore, and salmon were also really good!! In terms of quality and freshness, this place surpasses Kintaro by miles. My friends and I were all very satisfied and happy with our meal and shocked at how good the price was for the quality. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back and I’ve already told the whole world to come by.

Patience is key. The restaurant was super busy and we did have to wait, but the servers were too kind and they have superior customer service and satisfaction to any other sushi place. Their rolls and specialties are one of a kind and it’s difficult to find anything like it within 100 miles. Each roll was amazing. From the quail eggs to the ikura to the specialties rolls, everything was the freshest and simply the best. Who knew fish could taste so fresh in a land locked state a few hundred miles from the nearest ocean? Definitely beats any sushi place in Phoenix if you ask me.

Sushi was warm. I have worked with fish half my life. If fish smells fishy, it isn’t good anymore. Fish doesn’t taste fishy either. Sushi was both fishy and warm. Customer service was amazing. Atmosphere was beautiful. The sushi chef was informative and understanding, answered all questions. If you like desert sushi, I’m sure you’ll love this place. If you like proper sushi, not warm, not fishy, help me find a new place.
This review is based on multiple visits, because I understand everyone has off days and can not be judged on a single visit.

I have been all over this nation for sushi, and this by far is my most favorite place! The atmosphere is awesome! The service is amazing, and the sushi is to die for the best bang for your buck. The quality of food is number one! And I would put it against some of the Ritzy places you could g
o! I have been here a bunch of times, and from beginning to end, it is always a great experience! P.S. Please put one of these in colorado and New mexico

General review for 3 visits given.
– The eel sauce for all rolls is massively thickened, drenched, and cool/cold, making the rolls unappealing. Tasty points are given, but this gives it like molasses texture. Preferably it should be served warm, lighlty, and more liquid flow. For you true AYCE patrons, this is a turnoff. If they improve upon it after this review, kudos for listening to improvement criticism.
– During consequential rounds of ayce, rice is intentionally stacked more. For example, round 3 is literally nigiri pieces of small island pieces of fish surrounded by an ocean of rice. Past round 1 its way more rice than fish. Businessly right, but morally wrong for blindsiding this fact. Again, if this is improved upon after this review, kudos.
Your business, your rules. But this is a non-returning trait when other AYCE competitors popping up do not do this.

I’ve eaten at IOU Sushi several times and usually enjoy the food, which is why this experience was so disappointing.
Tonight during all-you-can-eat, I apparently mispronounced the Kaun roll when making my order. The waiter that took my order spoke to one of the sushi chefs about it apparently, because the sushi chef erupted into laughter and exclaimed “they’re stupid!” – speaking louder than the rest of the diners in the room. The room was a little quiet after that. A correction would have been fine, but mocking a customer (especially so publically) is never acceptable.
Unfortunately this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with the staff here. There is a past experience involving a sushi cook complaining about customers waiting for their food, also being a loudmouth about it. The food has always been good, but after today I won’t be coming back.

Everyone talks so highly of this place and unfortunately we were heavily disappointed. I hate to leave a 1 star review knowing this is a family owned business however, we had an awful experience and I feel the 5 star reviews on Tik tok, Google, and Yelp are all misleading. Walking in I was immediately put off by the dirty tables and dirty dish cart sitting right beside our table. There was an overwhelming odor of what smelled like urine, honestly. Table was sticky, no menus, no soy sauce, sriracha, napkins or anything. Service was……. A mess. After being served the wrong order, it sat at the table for at least 15 minutes. When the server finally returned, I let him know it wasn’t the correct order, then waited an additional 20 minutes for sushi that was extremely underwhelming. We stayed pretty safe with basic rolls. After what seemed like forever waiting for the check, the server overcharged us- which also took long to get fixed. Altogether, terrible experience, I will not recommend IOU Sushi to anyone, I will definitely warn them instead.

I don’t know. It’s really not that great when compared to other quality sushi restaurants. Everyone loves a Las Vegas roll but not when it’s pre-fried and sitting waiting for someone to order one. Eel is a favorite but again it’s not heated in the little ovens and it’s cold and mushy. The salmon was fresh and tasty though. Had to fetch my own soy sauce from the back. Eel sauce is the kind that nobody wants. Movie with commercials playing loudly. Nice location, maybe take some pride and make it GREAT!.

IOU Sushi is hands-down our go-to sushi spot in Tucson. The all-you-can-eat sushi is such a great deal and the quality is always on point—fresh fish, creative rolls, and so many options that it never gets old.
But what really keeps us coming back is the staff. They are seriously the BEST—fun, friendly, and always make the experience feel like a party instead of just dinner. You can tell they care about their customers and genuinely enjoy what they do.
We come here all the time and it never disappoints. If you’re looking for great sushi, great vibes, and a place you’ll want to make your regular spot, IOU Sushi is it.

Tasty! All you can eat sushi, including Unagi. Good selection of regular and hand rolls. Weekends usually have a reasonable wait time to get seated, however its well worth it. One of my favorite places to eat sushi. The service is good, wait time for plates isn’t bad. Overall this place is definitely top of the list for all you can eat sushi.
