⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 — Highly Recommend!

We had an amazing experience at Lakshmi Cuisine of India. The food was absolutely incredible and the service was truly top-tier. The staff was so kind and welcoming, and even with a group of seven, our food came out super fast.

We tried a little bit of everything on the menu and every single dish was packed with flavor — you could really taste the care and seasoning in each bite. I also loved that they asked for our preferred spice level, which made the experience even better. Was greeted As soon as we walked in

And don’t skip the mango lassi — it’s a must! Definitely coming back.

My 19-year-old son and I visited this restaurant for the first time because he wanted to try it. We were looking forward to a nice lunch, but unfortunately our experience wasn’t as smooth as we hoped.

When we ordered, my son accidentally forgot to place my lunch order. We let the waitress know right away, but when the food started coming out, only my son’s items and the appetizer arrived. My meal never came, and after waiting about 25–30 minutes, I finally asked about it. The waitress said it was ‘ready’ and brought it out in a to-go box, even though we were dining in. There was no apology and no offer to plate it for me, so I ended up taking it home.

Regarding the food, the chicken tikka masala came with what was described as garlic naan, but it was more like a plain flatbread/roti rather than authentic naan. Also, the tandoori chicken I ordered did not come with any sauces. Typically, tandoori is served with mint chutney or tamarind sauce, but none were provided. These details made the dishes feel less authentic and not what we usually expect from Indian cuisine.Appetizers were semi good.

In my opinion, the food overall seems catered more toward the general Lake County palate — very mild and not as flavorful or aromatic as traditional Indian dishes. For someone familiar with authentic Indian food, the flavors may feel a bit bland or incomplete.

The service overall felt somewhat cold. There wasn’t a warm welcome, no smiles, and very minimal interaction besides ‘thank you.’ And how is the “food ” The restaurant was clean, and my son’s food arrived correctly, but based on our visit, the overall experience did not match the high ratings we saw online. I hope this feedback helps the restaurant improve.

Thank you for responding, but I would like to clarify a few things, as parts of your reply do not reflect what actually happened.

First, when my son realized he forgot to order my lunch, he immediately went up to the counter to place the order. I very clearly told the waitress, in front of him, that he forgot to order my food. So there was no confusion about whether the meal was for dine-in. We were already seated, had water, and were waiting for all of our food. How my lunch order was turned into a to-go meal without anyone asking me is still unclear.

Yes, we did say the appetizer tasted good — which I already acknowledged in my review. However, the rest of the food did not taste as expected, lacked seasoning, and did not reflect the authentic flavors we normally experience at Indian restaurants.

Regarding the tandoori chicken, most Indian restaurants automatically serve mint or tamarind sauce with it. Nothing on the menu stated that sauces must be requested separately, and the server did not mention this. When I opened my meal at home, there were no sauces provided.

As for the garlic naan, it was not traditional naan. It was a thin flatbread similar to roti and did not match the flavor or texture of authentic garlic naan.

The main issue was the lack of attentiveness and service. My meal never arrived to the table, and after nearly 30 minutes it was simply handed to me already packed to-go without an apology or the option to have it plated so I could eat with my son. This was not a “miscommunication” — it was an oversight.

I shared my review honestly to provide accurate feedback for the restaurant and future customers. My experience stands as described.”

Everything was absolutely delicious. The garlic naan was perfect, the lamb korma, butter chicken, and saag paneer were all outstanding, and every sauce was rich, balanced, and full of flavor. You can truly taste the freshness and care in the cooking. We also had a mango lassi made with homemade yogurt, which was incredible.

We left feeling satisfied but also light and healthy, which says a lot about the quality of the ingredients and how thoughtfully the food is prepared. The people working there were also so kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

I honestly don’t understand how anyone could give this place a low rating. If you know what good, fresh Indian food tastes like, this restaurant delivers across the board. We’re very lucky to have a place like this in town, and we’ll definitely be back.

The family has always been welcoming. They greet us with smiles and offer incredible suggestions on what we might enjoy after explaining our palate preferences, and they were right! We cant say enough great things about their food, their service, and now their 2nd restaurant in lakeport (their other is kelseyville rivierra).

The lamb is always tender and perfectly cooked.

We brought our mom here to celebrate Mother’s Day and we were all extremely satisfied with our plates, a variety of flavors from yummy tikka masala to sweet desserts
We also tried their traditional beer for the first time, dad was definitely a fan
We will be back ready to try more ☺️

Ordered the spicy vindaloo and korma…neither dish even remotely resembled how they are traditionally served. The “vindaloo” was like mushy eggplant and tomatoes with zero spice; it was a strange color. Their vegetable mix for vegetarian dishes is cheap and cut up extremely uneven.

This is ann old white grandma Indian food place, Arti Cafe by Riviera has real Indian food if you’re looking. Won’t be back here.

I believe this is like a brother restaurant to Arti’s in the Riviera, both restaurants are equally amazing! Very friendly staff and courteous servers, 11 out of 10 for the food!! I’m sure they don’t make a bad meal but I highly recommend the lamb korma!
