We had a fantastic dining experience at Chutnez. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were very polite, attentive, and professional throughout.
We ordered a proper spread – starters, mains, and desserts – and honestly, every dish was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and know how to balance spices beautifully. The food tasted authentic, fresh, and was presented really well.
Unfortunately, we got so caught up enjoying the food that we forgot to take pictures of the starters and main courses – which says a lot in itself! The desserts were excellent too and ended the meal perfectly.
Overall, great food, great service, and a lovely ambience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality Indian food in Ipswich. We’ll definitely be coming back again!
We kicked off our meal with Seafood platter and the non-veg platter as starters. Both dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, setting a positive tone for the rest of the meal. For our mains, we ordered butter naan and garlic & coriander naan, paired with Chicken Chettinad and Lamb Rogan Josh, both curries were rich and aromatic.
However, I do suggest that the restaurant consider increasing the serving sizes for the starters and curries to match the appetites of larger groups.
The service was commendable, with humble staff who made us feel welcome. Given the poor weather, the restaurant was not crowded, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed meal without any rush. Plus, being just a street away made it incredibly convenient.
In summary, Chutneyz is a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a comfortable setting. We left satisfied and will likely return soon!
This place has cool vibes. A very homely environment felt by any person who is far from his/her country.
This place has all its Indian food, Indian ambience and good Indian music as well .
I visited this place on the first day of my stay in Ipswich.
After a long and hectic flight and office day. I got my first cup of tea here in “praya desh” and it eased my worries.
Being a vegetarian, I ordered basic veg food only.
That first sip of tea and first byte of food at least eases my mind so that I do not need to worry about how I will manage my food with at least hotel accommodation.
The owner himself is very friendly and creates positive vibes only through his restaurant, small talks, helping nature and behavior.
The staff is also very helpful . My first interaction was with the owner and one girl, Ankita, who worked there . Most of my interaction with food is with Ankita / owner, but other staff is also very humble, polite and helpful.
They both help you with food selection as per your taste. They asked me every time about my food preference, any particular food allergy or anything specific to food.
I visited this place for around 11–12 days for my breakfast, lunch and dinner.
might be complete review feels very personal story to anyone who read but this is what it is
Shree, our server 1st! What a gentleman! Beginning our start and experience with a gentle & welcoming smile! ☺️
The service provided by Shree was above par and very efficient with attention to detail! That alone was a superior experience, especially coming from a an anxious introvert!!!
Me and a special someone popped in for lunch.
We ordered 2 seekh starters and the non veg Thali from the lunch menu. WOW! The lamb seekh was tender, with so much flavour, which is a rarity in BIR cuisine, it was fresh, succulent and perfect.
The poppadoms were fresh to order which again, surpasses any Indian restaurant & takeaway, which usually cook poppadoms once a week.
The winner was the garlic coriander naan with the Thali, food in this modern day age rarely gives you the wow factor. Everyone is trying to impress but this naan, hit all the check marks ✅, fresh, airy, light and slightly chewy, as a nan should be! Hit up Chutneyz, NOW. This is coming from a fat boy who loves food!
Big up Shree, big up churneyz
Really great food, ambience and lovely friendly staff. Had a great time.
We ordered the Lamb chops, very tender, beautifully spiced and great flavour 10/10
We also had the Chicken Hariyali Kebab and it was bursting with flavour.
For Mains we had the Butter Chicken Masala, they really did it justice, tender and juicy pieces of chicken with a delicious gravy and fresh naan bread.
For Dessert I had the Gulab Jamun with ice cream which on paper sounds like an odd combination but works really well, really good food overall.
Payal our waitress was very friendly and provided great recommendations.
