This Quiznos is a rare find—literally the last one in East Tennessee. Tucked inside the secure area of McGhee Tyson Airport, it’s a solid grab-and-go option for travelers craving a toasted sub. The sandwiches are consistently fresh, and the staff are friendly and efficient, even during busy flight windows.
While the menu is more limited than standalone locations, it still hits the spot for a quick airport meal. Seating is minimal, and access is restricted to ticketed passengers, but for those flying out of Knoxville, it’s a nostalgic and reliable choice.

Go somewhere else. Astronomically priced – see the attached receipt. I could eat cheaper in NYC. Just paid $50 for (2) 8” subs, drinks and chips. No prices were displayed for the drinks and chips. So dishonest. I’m going to forward this to the Attorney General of Tennessee.

Customer service was great, however, my bacon egg and cheese sandwich had BACON BITS? No real bacon? For $9 for a simple sandwich, I think I paid for real bacon!

Wow. I should have check the reviews. This is definitely the worst sub of any brand I have ever had at an airport. It is a “toasted” sub with meat that is partially frozen. Definitely not worth $17.

Basic Quiznos sub shop. You don’t see these places around a lot anymore as most of them have gone out of business. Not terrible but not great. If you’re hungry and need a quick quick bite at this airport, it will get you through.

A good choice for a meal at the Knoxville airport
Quiznos is a well-known fast-food restaurant chain that specializes in toasted submarine sandwiches. Since its inception, Quiznos has established itself as a popular destination for those seeking a quick and satisfying meal. Quiznos began in 1981 when its first restaurant opened in Denver, Colorado. Since then, it has expanded its presence across the United States and even ventured into international markets. Currently, Quiznos has hundreds of locations worldwide, providing customers with convenient access to their favorite toasted sandwiches. This location is one of the restaurant choices inside the Knoxville airport. It is past security and a good choice to get something for your flight. I was leaving on a flight out of the airport and decided to get a sandwich for the flight. As a breakfast option, they have a breakfast Sammie which is an egg on a flatbread. As with most Quizno’s, you order at one part of the counter and pick up at the other. The staff was friendly, the sandwich was reasonable in its cost and it tasted good. The challenge at this location is limited seating at the restaurant but there is lots of seating in the concourse. Overall, it was a pleasant experience at a reasonable price.

They served me a cold sandwich at full price because their oven was down. I figured it would still be fine since they seemed comfortable serving it that way—but unfortunately, it was one of the worst sandwiches I’ve ever had. After just a few bites, I had to throw it away and ended up getting a sandwich from Starbucks instead because I was still hungry. Very disappointing experience.

I would tempted to eat here, yeah at the prices of $15 for there about for each item I decided to wait until I arrived at my next airport. I was reading the comment and found that many people were complaining about the hours. Still to this day they are still lifted at opening at 4:30 a.m. and apparently they do not open up 4:30 a.m.
I confirmed with a worker, they said they open between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. . So it seems like there’s no consistent time.

Very busy when I stopped in, but with an hour to go before my flight, I consider it safe to order. I watched while the crew made sandwiches and made an observation that if they would spend as much time making the sandwiches as they did chatting, they would probably pump out twice as many sandwiches. I approached the cashier ( assuming he was the manager by the way he was acting) to share that observation. Instead of hearing my complaint, he loudly spoke to the crowd and said “does anyone else have a complaint about his crew.” Shocked at his response, I share with him that he misunderstood what I was saying and he was taking it the wrong way. He proceeded with his loud voice to question me if I ever made a sandwich and that the toaster would only hold one sandwich. I realized that to continue the conversation was useless. I would suggest that the leadership take this guy aside to reconsider if he should be the face of the company. Very unprofessional. I approached him low tone just to share my observations, the he try’s to shame me? Well it didn’t work. But for sure I don’t have to spend my money here again

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY!!!! The workers are extremely friendly so that is not why I gave the service a low rating. It was not really busy at all and it to entirely way to long to get a sandwich. Food was good just like any other Quiznos, it was that no one moves with a purpose.
