Shady’s is Historic Downtown Garner’s Oldest Bar. Shady’s occupies a building that was one of the first commercial buildings built in Garner. This building was Garner’s Town Hall, was the original Garner Library as well as the town’s first railroad station. Cute bar in downtown Garner with quiet a selection of everything. It was our 1st time here since relocating to Garner a few wks ago, we came for ladies comedy night. The bartender made me excellent margaritas and the ladies were funny we will be back. They also have grazing board offerings for food we may try next time as well. There is also a 2nd room that looked relaxing as well with plenty of seating.

Arrived on the second night of their grand reopening. The remodel looked great, a little more room than the old plan and they have a stage for musicians. Didn’t try any food but the drinks are always good and the staff did great. Downtown Garner has a social district, so you can take your drinks outside and walk around WITHIN the downtown area.

I loved Shady’s! They had great service and an awesome atmosphere. I loved all of the local college/high school decor. This is a great place to come hangout during the week or weekend for a couple of drinks. There are also local food trucks nearby which was very convenient! The staff was very friendly, and everything was fairly priced.

1st time here, they had open mic .. uuhhhh a few were good… Bartender was cool mite would suggest a couple more vodkas, 1 or 2 more taps. Atmosphere was great, and it’s in historic part of town.
