Tucked away at 330 JFK Blvd, Bayonne, NJ, The Little Food Cafe is an absolute delight and a true neighborhood treasure. From the moment you step inside, you’re wrapped in a rustic, quaint charm that feels both intimate and effortlessly stylish, like a cozy countryside café thoughtfully placed in the heart of the city.
The ambiance alone invites you to slow down and savor the experience, but the food is what truly steals the show. Every dish is beautifully prepared, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with care and intention. It’s the kind of meal that reminds you why simple, well-executed food is so powerful, comforting yet elevated.
Service is warm and welcoming, adding to the feeling that you’ve discovered somewhere special rather than just another place to eat. The Little Food Cafe isn’t just a café, it’s an experience, and one that deserves to be revisited again and again.
If you’re in Bayonne (or even nearby), this is an absolute must-go. Charming atmosphere, exceptional food, and a vibe that makes you want to linger just a little longer—five stars without hesitation. ✨ ️
I have to start by saying i’m ecstatic Little Food is now on the Toast app! If you’re a new customer, you get 10% off your order btw.
Okay, who was going to tell me Little Food has some of the best pancakes I’ve ever tasted in my life!? You can order a single pancake, a small stack (3) or a large stack and when you do, make sure you order a side of their whipped cream. Ordering it plain is good by itself but with fruit it just hits the ball out of the park. Not only are the pancakes good, their breakfast burrito is filling, honey dijon salmon with mashed potatoes is a dinner fave plus the impossible cali burger. And you can never forget the brownie it’s still chocolatey and made with love.
The service here is always quick, easy, and friendly. And keep an eye out for specials too they update every morning they’re open. If you’re planning to eat here, there’s indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a small and cozy space that feels like home. Thank you Little Food!
To be fair, the staff are kind, and every time I go in I’m actually excited to get my food. But then I get home, open the bag, and reality hits everything is wrong, and what they gave me isn’t even edible.
The food is consistently stale, bland, and at times just gross. I’ve been served salads with rotten vegetables, and cookies that have clearly been sitting in jars for weeks. The ones at the bottom? Probably months. As for the actual meals, the pancakes somehow manage to taste like paper, and nothing ever seems fresh.
Worst of all, they cannot get a single order right. Out of my last 12 orders, not one has been correct. Something as simple as a plain bagel with butter comes out as a toasted everything bagel with eggs. And no, this isn’t a one-time mix-up — it’s the norm here. The one time they finally got it right, the bagel had barely a teaspoon of butter. Photo attached — and no, it’s not a joke. I know it’s hard to believe.
It’s honestly baffling how this place is still in business. Save your time, money, and appetite. DO NOT GO HERE. I truly wish Google let us give zero stars, because even one feels too generous.
Scroll past the fake 5-star reviews clearly left by staff and family members, and you’ll find plenty of real reviews that tell the same story.
Pros:
•Seating is available indoors and outdoors.
•Service has been pretty good both times, waitress were very attentive. (Only one con down below)
•Food is amazing! I had the chicken pesto panini for lunch and it came with chips. Also, ordered the sweet potato fries and it was crispy, possibly one of the best I’ve ever had. Side note: please get the CHIPOTLE SAUCE! Goes well with the onion rings! (I to come back for the chicken and waffles)
•I’ve seen a review of only taking cash, but they have tap to pay and all that.
•Portion is great for the cost you pay. I couldn’t even finish my sweet potato fries but I tried my best
Cons:
•Not sure if you have to walk up to pay or they come with the check. Both times I think I waited 10 min before just going up and paying.
•Parking is residential and I would say a bit limited because it is very close to a school. This means 2 hour limit parking before you get a ticket.
