Stopped in here on a whim looking for a breakfast bite. The staff was so kind and welcoming, they explained their offerings and that it’s take-out only. I’m from out of town, but really wish I had something like this at home. They have freshly-made meals, snacks and yummy things. The breakfast biscuit sandwhich I ordered was no exaggeration, out of this world delicious. And also huge. You can definitely split it between two people.

My friends and I were in Missoula for the Big Sky Film Festival. Before leaving town, we decided to stop here for food for the road. Upon walking in, you see a full salad bar with options for every diet including vegan and gluten free. There are fridges on the right and left filled with sweet and savory options like soups, sandwiches, dessert or sweet options, and these also have vegan and GF options. My group got huge salads, warm burritos, candy, mousse, peanut butter and jam sandwich, and lattes made with locally made organic oat milk. The staff was incredibly warm and kind, asking us where we are coming from and didn’t mind that there were so many of us there getting our food options. They gave us a re-useable cold/hot tote to carry all of our food out. The cashier was also super stylish! I hope this business stays put for many years and has lots of prosperity, and if you’re in Downtown Missoula needing a quick healthy delicious bite on the go, this is the place to stop. Thanks for serving us!

Amazing stop for to-go food downtown. Some of the old Catalyst classics and several different hot/salad bar type stuff. V fun nacho/taco bar as well. Evan was an absolute delight and really gave us a good tour of the place. Highly recommend.

A Missoula staple for many years, and tied with Burns St Bistro for best brunch in Missoula. The Heap is a long-time favorite, and consider it is TWO meals for the mortal. Breakfast burrito is also great but a little spicy. Coffee/Espresso is fantastic. Funky place with varied seating including now downstairs expansion. Indoor and Outdoor seating. Expect a wait on weekends and summer days.

When the chef is in, they will you make you a breakfast sandwich that is not only the best in town, but maybe the best I’ve had. Nothing out of the ordinary, just high end ingredients crafted with care. Seriously, I think about their sandwiches pretty much every day.

I stopped by Catalyst2go and tried their make-your-own nacho bar — absolutely fantastic! Everything was fresh and flavorful, and you can make it as small or as big as you want, so it’s easy to create the perfect portion. It’s strictly grab-and-go (no seating), and I love that their offerings change daily — there’s always something new to try. Don’t skip their house-made baked goods either; they’re just as good as the savory options. Great food at a great price, with super-friendly staff.

Probably one of the best places in Missoula for breakfast! The buckwheat waffles are delicious, must try. I also was able to try The Heap, which as the name implies was absolutely massive (and very tasty). Lastly, they make a delicious London Fog, definitely give it a try.

The one downside is they currently are including in the bill a 20% service charge. The service was good, but personally I believe they should either simply increase the price of the food and distribute that to the employees or go back to allowing customers to tip as they see fit.

Overall, this was a great place for breakfast, the atmosphere and staff were great, and I’d definitely return.

Stopped by for a quick coffee. We were greeted and taken care of the friendliest and most attentive staff. The in house coffee is very flavorful. The latte is great as well.

P.S Second time here a few days later for breakfast. Had the jumbos rancheros which were very delicious. Also tried the omelette which was great as well. A must try

If you are in downtown Missoula and want to support local businesses and eat a great meal ️ then I suggest the Catalyst Cafe.
Cosy dining experience. Seating outside along with two floors of seating area.
Welcoming staff, great vibe and terrific food.
I was there for breakfast with my sister. She had the breakfast burrito which could feed three people.
I had a fried egg sandwich and a green chili ️ potato hash which happened to be fantastic. A must if you go!
