WOW. AMAZING. PHENOMENAL Food here. My husband took me on a date night here. I can honestly say their burgers and truffle fries are one of the best I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the Monument Burger and my husband had the Jalapeño burger. Both so good! The truffle fries… I’m addicted! Couldn’t stop eating them. The textures and flavors were on point. We also had some Pecan and Eggnog cake. Soooo delicious. Price is higher but definitely worth it. We will be coming back. Thank you for the incredible experience, service, and food.

Terrific little cafe in downtown Monument. They can be busy at lunch time, but it’s worth the wait. Probably the best burger you can get in the Springs or Monument. They have a small indoor seating area and a lovely patio. Slightly higher price point, but everything is fresh and delicious!

Order at the counter, retrieve your beverages and choose a seat inside or outside. Food was fresh, made to order and huge portions. Our party enjoyed schnitzel sandwich, Colorado Burger, Elk Burger, Mushroom soup and Chicken Salad sandwich. Fries are coated and crispy. We ordered a beet salad to share, which we had to take home untouched as the portions were so large.

Super friendly staff! We were greeted warmly and had a great lunch while passing through town! Great atmosphere on the patio. The tiramisu we had was gone too quickly to take a picture.. 10/10!

Husband and I stopped to have lunch on a whim on our way to Manitou Springs. We both agreed we’d drive from Denver just to come back it was that good.
Women taking our order behind the counter was very patient, friendly, and helpful in answering our questions.
Husband got the blue burger and I got half of a turkey sandwich and we split small bowl of brisket chili.
My husband had ordered his burger medium rare and it came out closer to medium well but it was still juicy and delicious. The fries were top notch!
This place is also quite generous with the toppings (eg. Sautéed onions, lettuce and avocado).
I could barely finish my half turkey sandwich- it was so filling. I liked that there wasn’t too much aioli and that even though it was a cold sandwich the bread was still toasted.
The chili by itself would have been too sweet for our linking but having it to dunk my sandwich and my husband- his fries it was delicious. I actually am motivated to come up with a copy cat recipe and make it less sweet.
On our way to get a table we passed by other diners enjoying their food and it looked amazing. It seems like this is the kind of place where anything from the menu is a great choice.
Lastly, where we sat, I could see the kitchen staff making our food.
At one point one of the guys stopped to sneeze. He quickly turned completely away from the food station, sneezed into his elbow and immediately took off his gloves and put new ones on.
He kept his food station very clean and organized while we worked. That was so great to witness!

OMG! Black Forest Foods Cafe and Deli.is a total GEM ! Staff was incredibly friendly. Amazing salads – the Mountaineer with Salmon and the Beet. There was a creative variety of vegetables along with dried pears and apricots. The salmon had excellent flavors and was a good portion size as well. I wanted about 8 things on the menu! We sat outside in the shade to enjoy lunch. I will definitely go back whenever I am in Monument. Second visit – I brought 7 people this time! I tried the waygu brisket sandwich with fries – I wasn’t as excited with this as I expected. It was a bit more fatty and chewy than I thought, flavors were good. One friend had half soup and half salad and the others had various salads, soups and sandwiches. I also had a latte with chocolate cake and red velvet cake shared between us. Super busy lunchtime on Friday in September!

All 5 stars because they deserve it. From the moment you step onto the patio, there is a very welcoming atmosphere. People eating, chatting if you need a seat they offer you space at their table . When you are greeted at the counter staff excellent as well. They will help you with the menu.Same inside, we shared a table inside. Hughe menu! Friendly Owner and his wife. We had a fresh tasty grilled turkey sandwich, fresh avocados , tomatoes and lots of meat special sauce on the sandwich or on the side. Great chips with them. Next time I am getting a Bison burger! They have smoker/ grill outside the burgers are so thick the chef puts a knife in the middle! Also Noah Suarez chef created the lightest coffee cake ever , different ones they are a must get of if I am just in Monument I will stop by and pick up a couple!! All of the staff in the kitchen runs smoothly as well!!!

Everything we ordered was delicious! The portions are big and the burgers and sandwiches were built high. The sodas are very good as well. The coconut lime and cherry lime were my favorite! The staff are very sweet and the chef even came out to make sure our food came out well. Highly recommend!

We tried the elk tenderloin and it is the best thing ever !!! The elk is perfect the mushroom sauce tasted like heaven wow such a lovely treat. We are so lucky there’s such a great restaurant in our Monument area ! The staff is amazing and very friendly.

Great place for Super fresh & quality food! Fell in love as soon as we walked in with the smells and the menu board! What a selection! Every plate I saw come out, looked Just as appealing as the pictures online. They also have a fridge and freezer that has prepared packaged meals and soups. We bought 2 bison chilli quarts and OMG it is delicious!
