I tried the Pho Meat, which I guess is what you’d expect at a food court, but was expensive for what it was. There was plenty of noodles and meat, but the noodles were thin and the soup wasn’t hot enough for the raw vegetables to cook.
I haven’t tried it yet, but maybe the ramen would be a better choice.

• While it serves fast-food style ramen, it’s appreciated for its efficiency and friendliness: “people behind the counter are courteous and your order comes out fast” .

• Char siu buns are often praised as a highlight: “The char siu buns were perfect” .
• Some inconsistency reported: one recent review mentioned the chicken tasting “like cardboard,” and another noted “service is horrible” at times .
⸻

• Large bowls with fresh noodles and soups
• Tasty char siu buns as a side treat
Recommendation
If you’re in SoNo and craving a fast, flavorful ramen bowl with friendly service, Sono Ramen is a solid choice. Pair your bowl with the char siu buns for an extra treat. Just be aware that occasional inconsistencies may occur—most experiences remain positive, but not every visit is perfect.
Overall quite impressed. Their broth is flavorful, the pork is very well cooked and delicious, and the tamago is wonderful.
My only suggestion would be to ask for no spinach, it isn’t the best greens for this ramen and kind of takes away from the dish.
I will be sure to come back to try out their side menu!
Clean great and friendly service . Highly recommend if you would like a quick bite .
– overpriced
– I had the shoyu ramen. The broth was horrible. Plain. Tasteless. Bland.
– the men (or noodles) were poor and reminded me of instant ramen with a stodgy texture.
– the chasyu was decent but small. Spinach in ramen, baffling. The egg, over cooked.
– the fella working there had a bit of attitude.
– ramen served in plastic bowls with plastic cutlery, why? We’ve just been informed that we as society have ignored all scientific warnings about the state of the planet and yet single use plastic is continuously used. Disgraceful.
– I am guessing that this place is not run by Japanese people as it has a fair few Korean items and even Vietnamese. What bothered me the most was the petty politician jab directed at Japan in the form of a dish called ‘Dokdo ramen’. Do your homework on this and you’ll understand.
Overall, disappointing and poor.
