We strolled into this sweet little spot on our anniversary weekend. It was a Friday evening and we were hoping for their seafood boil (which is usually only on Saturdays). The owner overheard me say we would come back the next day for the seafood boil and offered to do it for us that very evening!!! They prepared us a candlelight seafood dinner outside with wine and dessert. IT WAS AMAZING!!! We’ve never been to restaurant where the staff and owners went completely out of their way to do something so special. This is a MUST dine experience!!!!

Seafood is amazing! We stopped overnight into town and had dinner here on Saturday evening. Seafood only menu. The seafood boil, crawfish, shrimp, chicken fried catfish and fries are a little taste of Heaven. Family owned small business. They make you feel right at home. May God continue to bless Billy and Chelsea’s business.

My husband and I found this quaint little restaurant in the heart of downtown Hillsboro- the food was good southern cooking and the owner was a joy to talk with. We ordered The Almighty…and it was! A baked potato stacked skyhigh with bbq- ribs, sausages , and all the baked potato fixins along with mac n cheese, collard greens and melt in your mouth cornbread. This place was packed full of Jesus and good food!

We stopped at Little Taste of Heaven based on the Google reviews. Actually drove ten miles out of our way. We were not disappointed. Five stars plus. Decor is nothing fancy, but the food is excellent, service down home friendly, and prices very reasonable for the amount of food.
Green beans were mixed with corn and some bacon. Sausage was mixed with the cabbage. Mac and cheese was very tasty and the chicken fried chicken had a very crispy coating. All very yummy.

Absolutely awesome. Food was delicious and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. It’s a family run business, so they put a lot of time and effort into their food. This is not a place you want to be in a rush for, be prepared to take your time and enjoy the experience. If you do, I believe you will have the same kind of experience my family had tonight. Hillsboro has a nice little gem in this restaurant, just take the time to enjoy it and you will definitely be impressed. We will definitely be back.

Last night (Saturday) we went to eat and listen to a great local band named “Artificial Freedom” playing live inside, it was a great little jam session and some great food spiced to perfection. We really had a great evening,
While we were talking to the owner Billy I commented about still wanting to try his chicken and dumplings, he was so nice and went and got me a sample to take and try!
If you haven’t been bye and tried their cozy new place you should check them out!
My dad had gotten the stuffed turkey leg and send the rest home with me to try, he was stuffed. It was so good! Can’t wait to try the chicken and dumplings when it’s a but cooler!

The name of this restaurant is very fitting…. it is truly a taste of heaven! We got the smothered ox tail and pork chop meal. Everything was very tasty. The pork chop was cooked right and the ox tail was super tender that the meat was just falling off the bone. The corn bread was crispy on top but soft in the inside with a hint of sweetness. I don’t eat collard greens but this was tasty that I finished the whole bowl. The dirty rice (mixed with beans and sausages) was full of flavor. All the flavors on each dish complements each other perfectly! We got our bill and it was super cheap for the massive amount of delicuous food we got… it was a complete meal. To top it off, Billy and Chelsea are very nice, friendly, respectable, and accommodating! They made our night a very enjoyable and pleasant one. It was truly a blessing to have found this place with bountiful meal and beautiful people. We will make this place our MUST stop whenever we’re passing through this town. Highly recommend!

This place is as good as all the reviews say! Family owned, very nice and caring people ❤ Food was amazing! We had smoked and smothered turkey with collar greens, loaded mac&cheese and cornbread dressing. It made me feel like I was at my grandma’s house. Buttermilk pie &pecan pie was the best I have ever had. Oh and I can’t forget the best sweet tea in Texas. We will be back.

Delicious food when we went on seafood Saturday! Grilled shrimp, gumbo and catfish was so tasty! Even my 9 month old ate a good bit and seemed to love it. Will definitely go back if we drive back through!
