A quick stop for us to grab some good food, even the parking lot smelled delish! Clean and tidy indoor or outdoor seating and great selection of meats & sides and generous portions! You walk up to order and then seat yourself. Friendly vibes from all the staff.

Love the food Moe’s. Ribs have been nice sized with lots of meat. We like that they are not drippy with sauce and are dry rubbed. The fried fish meal is really good as well. The green beans, creamed spinach and cornbread are lovely… the baked beans and the slaw are not for us. Next time, we’re trying the nana puddin’. Would highly recommend!

First time. Pulled pork platter with Mac n cheese and baked beans was excellent. Baked beans some of the best I’ve ever had. Interesting spin on cornbread. BBQ Sauce was unique & delicious. Affordable, too (especially by Charlottesville standards).

Had a quick stop at Moe’ Original this evening. I highly recommend it. I got the pulled pork platter with two sides and corn bread. You can get the pork as either a sandwich (if you specify) or just by itself like I did. It does come topped with their house sauce which was a perfect combination of tang and sweet. The Mac and cheese was very tasty and cheesy (I couldn’t help my self and dug in before I took the pick), the coleslaw is a marinated slaw with a vinegar base, it’s slightly sweet but has a little kick that catches ya. I personally loved it. The staff are extremely kind and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing and family friendly environment. That had a Christian radio station playing. It’s a very hometown restaurant feel to it. I’ll definitely be back!

A great BBQ spot in Charlottesville! Heading east on 64 , we were hungry and decided that BBQ was the answer. Found Moe’s on Google and although it is 5-10 min off, the effort and time is well worth it! The sides were outstanding !! Potato Salad was homemade, Broccoli Casserole was cheesy goodness, Collards had great flavor and texture (but too many stems), and the star of the show was the marinated Coleslaw . It was the perfect accompaniment for all the rich protein that is BBQ!! Now the meat . The ribs were well cooked and tender but the sauce, not my fav. And the Sat. special, Brisket, had Yummy bark and the ‘wet’ pieces luscious but slices eat much better than chunks. Maybe they’re still working on the ultimate, sliceable Brisket! All said, Moe’s is a destination BBQ experience as well as a good smelling ️ bar ! Oh, forgot to mention all the cold Beer offerings, signature cocktails , and the bar built for game ⚾️ ⚽️ ⛳️ day!

The bbq was amazing. My ribs were tender and slid off the bones. The bake beans were not too sweet and my slaw was crispy, cool, and freshly seasoned.

Very quick service! Got our food within 5 minutes. Brisket was juicy. Cornbread had a nice balance of soft yet crumbly. Banana pudding was lightly sweet with a hint of cinnamon which really balanced the flavor and really enjoyed the bits of real banana topped with a Nilla Wafer. Just wished that the baked Mac n Cheese was a little warmer when served and had a bit more sauce to give it more flavor and moisture.

Overall just fine. Service left a lot to be desired. Took forever to order because the young lady at the counter was making small talk with someone else.
Pulled pork was tasty. Nothing mind blowing but good. I liked the corn bread as well. Had jalapeños in it though didn’t seem spicy, quite sweet which I like.
Mac n cheese wasn’t great and the sweet tea wasn’t sweet enough, but I easily corrected that.
Might be down to trying something different next time.

Tiny servings for the price… And the cups were plastic. Food was okay, and got 2 servings which is good, but they were tiny too.
