After being seated, it took some time for a server to come and take my order. When I asked a few questions about the menu items, the staff couldn’t really explain them and seemed unfamiliar with what they were serving. They appeared quite inexperienced and unsure about the menu, which made ordering a bit frustrating.
When the food finally arrived, it was okay not bad, but not particularly impressive either. What stood out more was the service. No one offered water even after I had already finished half of my meal, which made it clear that the staff could use better training and attention to customers. It feels like more effort was put into making the restaurant look good rather than preparing the staff to provide good service.
Overall, I might consider ordering takeout once more since the food itself was decent. However, the dine-in experience was not satisfying. Another thing worth mentioning is the pricing. The prices are quite high, and honestly this kind of pricing doesn’t feel suitable for the Cleveland area. If the food, service, and overall experience were exceptional it might make sense, but in this case it felt like you’re mostly paying for the ambiance rather than the overall dining experience.
We had 1 Samosa and 1 Amritsari Fish appetizers.
I had the grilled Salmon, and my wife had Chicken Vindaloo, and garlic nan.
The total was $86, plus genourous tip.
MJ was out server. Very attentive.
They just opened last week.
The only reason I give four stars is because of the restroom, no warm water. The water was super cold to wash hand with.
If you’re thinking about going here, DO IT!!! You won’t regret it!!
The Chicken Chettinad and Garlic Naan need to be improvised. The Chettinad didn’t have the flavor as meant to be.
The rice and dal makhani was good.
The only disappointment was the service was slow had to wait nearly 30 mins to get the food once we placed our orders even though it wasn’t too too busy.
Will visit again
Service is just ok…I ordered Pakora…well, it had no vegetable…but trace of spinach and may be, may be – some onion…and it was salty. Next, the main entré…woow…an example of how bad this can be cooked…totally bland..no spices, it was definitely not authentic. Yes, for those who hasn’t tasted authentic Indian food, there is no way for them to differentiate this horrible food to other. Last time, I went with my friends…didn’t impress any of us.
By the way…the portion size is too small…just hardly have 6 to 7 spoons of main course and the rice that comes with it is little too….never seen a place that gives this little…for the $$$ price of items.
It was not worth the price and mainly my time! My advice – I would opt to go to a different restaurant to try out and enjoy true flavour and true taste of Indian food.
Inside, we ordered the assorted platter, masala potato, a coke, 2 mango lassies, 3 garlic Naan, Mumbai mixed grill tandoori, chicken makhani, vegetable biryani, and lamb chops. Everything was simply okay, and I was not overly impressed. The lamb chops were overcooked and tasted somewhat plain (to theri credit, I neglected to put any sauce on it, which may have enhanced the flavor. The Naan was good, but I’ve had better. The chicken makhani was actually the highlight of the meal and had a nice spicy kick to it.
My eyes overloaded our stomachs and we ended up with a lot of takeaway containers. For everything purchased, the bill came to $134 after taxes
Pros:
* Restaurant is cozy and appears to be clean. There was soft music playing in the background.
* It was not overly busy for patrons who dined inside, but there were multiple takeout orders and doordash orders going. My estimate is that over 15 orders came through on takeout within 30 minutes.
* Friendly, swift staff members who were very attentive to our needs. The food came out relatively quick, like 15 minutes after ordering
Cons:
* Food was okay, but not quite what I expected based on the aroma outside.
* Parking was a challenge because the only parking was in the rear of the building with maybe a total of 15 spots available.
* I asked if biryani came with the entrees, and they said “no,” so I ordered some. I was surprised to see 2 large biryani rice bowls show up. I felt like I overordered food due to a misunderstanding of the portions and the meal packages
Summary: I will return.
