We are so excited about our new Spring and Summer menu which will be out in about a week. We will be offering some old favorites along with a few new ones.

Stopped in for a quick bite: the place is cozy, the staff were polite, and the order came out fairly quickly. The coffee was fine, and the dessert was decent too.
Overall, though, it was an average experience: the food tasted a bit bland, and the portions weren’t very big for the price. Also, it was pretty noisy inside, and the tables are close together.
It’s okay if you’re nearby, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

Nice place to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
I recommend having their breakfast food items. Their omelettes and pancakes are my favorites. They always have great service and they get your food out to you very quickly and efficiently!! Definitely recommend!!

Basic, American foods done pretty decently, and the dishes are conservative enough that picky eaters won’t have an issue here. Nothing is going to blow you away, but you’ll leave satisfied.
They do get busy here and there can be a wait, but the line seems to move fast.

Menu was big with plenty to pick from. Stayed with breakfast and it was okay. The corned beef hash was very tasty and the sausage gravy with hash browns was to thick and over salted. Good portions and the service was quick and friendly.

I have learned whenever I see a help wanted “cook” sign on the front door of a restaurant to turn around and leave. Horrible food horrible. Steak and eggs-raw steak not cooked to order (definitely not a sirloin) and eggs were runny. American breakfast fry’s cooked hours ago but they threw them on my order anyway. Stay away or at least wait until the help wanted sign isn’t on the front door.

Excellent place for good home cooked food. Clean restaurant with excellent wait staff well worth a try if you’re in Grand Forks. Great prices. I had the clubhouse with sweet potato fries,it came with really turkey, ham bacon, lettuce cheese,mayo and tomato. So good. Great portion sizes for seniors and regular folks . I will definitely be back next time I’m in town. Third time at this great American diner. Amazing as usual,I tried the Corn beef hash with hash browns and toast.and the biscuits and gravy. It was just amazing and full of flavor. Service was great as always. Please give it a try if you’re here in Grand forks.

The southern stuffed/country stuffed are the way to go for breakfast, I get the southern stuffed every time I come here. BUT- it is a LOT of food so be prapaired hungry. The seasonal menu has a Cuban sandwich that is superb, can’t wait for summer again! Service isn’t the best, most of the waitresses just want you gone but there are some real kind ladies here.

Good food, good service, and our waitress, Dolly, was friendly and fun. Glad we took a chance and stopped by this morning. Before today’s visit, we had only been here twice; both times were shortly after the restaurant opened for business, and both visits were terrible. This one was perfect and a great way to start our day. Thanks to Northside Cafe and Dolly!

Laid back quieter atmosphere perfect for Breakfast in my opinion. They just released a few new items so we had to try one of them. We went with the Philly Rolls with Queso & it was probably one of the best philly based items in Grand Forks I’ve had! Never had bad meal here, I usually go for the Northside Skillet or the Garbage Omelete with a side of Hollindaise but if they don’t have Hollindaise that day I go for the Stuffed Country Skillet.
